40 I journeyed up to this place to have a beer. Upon arrival, the waitress promptly informed me that ’they are a restaurant’, and that if I wanted to just have a beer I would need to wait until one of their two - TWO - seats at the bar was available before I could get served a beer. Well, I didn’t feel like standing around waiting for a beer from a none too impressive draft lineup (I didn’t take the time to scan the bottle selection, so can’t comment there). I left, and I don’t have any immediate plans to return. I guess if you want to have overpriced hot dogs and sliders while sipping on beginner craft beer this might be your spot; however, my spot it is not. |
70 Beer/hot dogs/whisky/sliders - a simple US-style formula, quite lively and young and a nice change from the Hampstead gastropub scene. Food excellent if not the most healthy, four cask ales including a house ale, mostly from London breweries, a couple of lagers on tap plus some bottles. A good addition to the area. |
