Went there following the ratebeer comments. Nevertheless last review was from 2012, so 4 years later this place has been taken over by others. No fantome beers available and had a highly lacto infected lupulus from tap. Forget about this place

Nice little tavern across the road from the river in Hotton. Its chief attraction to geeks will be the selection of Fantôme beers, handy to pilgrims who find the brewery closed. Also had a fruity house beer commissioned, oddly enough, by the Biercée distillery in Hainaut, probably made by Silly.

Small classic pub inside, nice terrace outside. Friendly service, good food. A broken crevette maker delayed our crevettes, so they comped us the two Fantomes we had on draft. We also split a very nice bottle of Pissenlit. Definitely stop on the way to/from Fantome.

Visited 07/01/2012 following Dany @ Fantôme’s recommendation. Nestled right in the center of the little town of Hotton by the actual site of the yearly beerfest. This time around, the island was nearly submerged due to flood alert. Nice building made in the typical Ardennes ’pierre bleue’, inside of old wooden beams with some old memorabilia that at times appear too tacky. Some French classic rock tunes playing in the background. The place is definitely more of a tavern than a restaurant. Beer selection offers a choice of Fantôme and other local ones, mostly from Brasserie de Bouillon and a good range of other Belgian beers. Menu has some very classical Belgian dishes that you find in many restaurants of that type, nice friendly service. This time around they had some suggestions on the menu matching the winter season and wild game. I went for the pork in Fantôme chocolat sauce priced at 15€. Nice presentation, tasty meat, maybe a bit overcooked, delicious sauce. Additional 1€ if paying by card and under 30€ which was only mentioned after I had paid. Good stop whilst in the area.

a fine place where you can speak about belgian beers and local Fantomised "beered foods " .. Boss to be rated as an excentric but good beers ideas overhall .. recommanded by Real Ales of Belgium .. Others .. no place for ...go you way .. :-)

Superbe cadre, cuisine à la bière fantôme, menu très local (7 artisans). Service familial, fond sonore et diffusion du football. Je recommande

Cosy Bar/Restaurant close to the river in the centre of town. One of the few bars selling the local FantÔme beer, and they will even decant a 25cl glass from the standard large bottle for you. Beer cuisine available (didn’t have chance to try it). Other local beers available, and liqueurs from the boss’s father’s local distillery.
