santabeer (3), , Norway does not count - explanation | | April 29, 2012 A very nice pub. Polstered chairs. Very friendly staff. | Plick (3), , Sweden does not count - explanation | | April 7, 2012 Decent place, but why the loud music and young girls in the bar that does not even know what hops is? It wants to look like a real beer place with all the bottles but misses the spot. Anyway, better than average pubs because of the nice selection of Polish beer. | | angelina (13), vienna(Austria), rome(Italy), | | February 29, 2012 It is rather disco place then beer pub. 9 taps with beers but You do not know where are they from. Mainly sweet beers or flavored beers (grape, orange, peach, etc.) taste the same. | | KAggie97 (213), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | | July 17, 2011 If you like asking for beer, this is your place. Otherwise, it sucks. Smoky, typical beers, and skanky waitresses. | | tonycaviar (17), , Hungary | | April 25, 2011 A dark and unpleasant cellar full of centuries-old cigarette-smoke, without any air. I could not imagine to stay there for more than 2 minutes. When asked for something real hoppy, the waiter gave me Perla, which is just quite a usual, low-hopped insutrial lager. But later on he took care to show me some nice special things he had. And he had quite a selection. | | BelgianBeerGal (42), Dayton Area, Ohio | | April 17, 2011 My favorite beer bar visited in Krakow. Very unique cellar bar in the Jewish quarter. We were the only customers on a Sunday afternoon. Not the biggest selection but easily the coolest location and surroundings. Plus the bartender was very helpful and friendly! | | Bryne (153), , Norway | | August 17, 2010 It is a long and rather steep stairway down to "The dragons hole" But, go down and enter this stronghold for Polish beer! Several Baltic Porters and a lot off beer from small brewers all around Poland. A helpful young man recommended beer and provided excellent service the whole evening. We were the only customers this Wednesday evening.... A nice place for beer tourists! (Visited August 4th 2010) | | Beer3000 (38), Kristiansand, Norway | | February 22, 2010 Somebody claims this pub have more than 100 different beers in stock, the web page for this pub is a bit more moderate and promises more than 50 beer. Visiting this place in January 2010 I think the selection is somewhere in-between. Two refrigerators comfortable placed in front of the bar for self-service contained around 60 - 70 different beers. All these including the four taps where polish beer only, and that’s damn practically for someone who wants to sample a few polish brews during a hectic week-end. The mainstream crap like Tyskie and Zywiec premium lager where absent as far as I could see, that’s another positive score in my book. The environment is a bit special, as the pub is deep down in a basement with different sitting groups place in a cave like atmosphere. Actually this is the case for a lot of Krakow pubs, but a bit unusually for a beer tourist like myself. The staff is dedicated and very friendly, I was immediately forced to try one local honey beer from tap when I told them I was into beers. For me this was one of the two best beer pubs in Krakow and the pice level is very pleasant to. Strongly recommended, and the Miodowa street is a must place to visit anyway for different reasons – several other good pubs in close distance, one grocery shop with decent selection and Restauracja Pasieeka for the mead fans. | SmoczaJama (1), does not count - explanation | | February 4, 2010 Over 100 types beer from all around Poland!!!! |
