Nothing too interesting, a fairly small collection of Japanese craft beer, a fair collection of macros and a fairly decent selection of imports. Should be possible to find something interesting. Wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but worth dropping by if one happens to be in the neighbourhood

As KyotoLefty said this is basically a chain of import food/liquor shops all over Japan(there’s one in Ikebukuro, a few in Osaka and one just opened in Kyoto’s Avanti too). Prices are a bit high but their glassware is about average in terms of price. they have a bunch of belgian beers, some English ones, a few Japanese craft & macros from around the world. If you see one stop in and see what they got but they aren’t worth a special trip or anything.

Don’t know if this really should have been added, but hell, since it was, I will add my two cents. This is part of a chain of stores all over Japan. There is a newer and better one at Kiyamachi-Oike, but I won’t add that separately. Generally they have a pretty good selection of beers at reasonable prices. Sometimes you find amazing bargains, sometimes interesting stuff like 2004 Boon Framboise. I find that stores in the countryside seem to have a better selection of Japanese micros, usually stuff from the area. This one has about 10-15 J. micros, plus a couple dozen Belgians, and handfuls of British, German, and a bunch of macro crap. It’s a good place in the center of Kyoto, so if you are looking to see what’s available, you should stop in. Expect no one to be able to answer beer questions.

This is a import grocery store. It has a huge selection of imported beers and ususally some Japanese Craft beers. The prices are very good for Kyoto and you can also get lots of imported food.
