As close as Leiden get’s to a beercafe, the only place in town you’ve got much possibility of seeing De Molen on tap. Bottled beer range seems to be diversifying a little a present, possibly in conjunction with De Bierwinkel.

It was a cold and wet (typically Dutch) day when we foudn Lemmy’s biefcafe, but we found a great selection of beers, a good server, and even a fake fire blazing on the big screen TV in the back. It didn’t hurt that David Bowie was playing in the background either...

Pub with hte biggest beer selection in Leiden, popular with all sorts of people. The bottle list is okay, but the ever changing tap list is what attracts me most. Can be a bit crowded and noisy at times.

8 taps (1 Leidsch). Reasonable amount of bottles. Nice prices. Very dark after sunset. No lights only candles on the tables. Couple of customers on Sunday night. Music wasn’t that loud at least it wasn’t disturbing. The place wasn’t that dark when visited on bright daylight the day after. I would visit again.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Small but spacious Dutch brown cafe, dark wooden interior, lots of bottles and beer stuff on the walls, along with some music parafernalia. Looks cozy. Nice seating along the wall and bar. Decent tap selection, decent but boring bottle list imo. Reasonably priced.

Small "bruin" cafe. Cosy, nice athmosphere, lotts of wood. Usual dutch and belgian selections, some specials. Nice stop for a proper beer.

A decent bar close.to the train station. Fairly interesting tap beers.

Good selection for reasonable prices. Basically a rathole, but a good place to stop and see what you can find. Nice tap selection.

Nice small bar that specializes in beers and wiskeys. Can be quite crowded but it’s always a good place to go with friends. Bottles are mostly from a Belgian selection plus some Dutch and random origin bottles; around 80 in total I think. They recently started carrying some more special ones like Flying Dog and 2-3 De Molen beers. Prices are very reasonable. Taps often change and some interesting selections come by but would be good to have more non Belgian offerings. Owner is very friendly. Gezellig, and improving, but not necessarily the best place to experience craft beer.

Quite crowded on a saturday night but good atmosphere. The bottle selection is pretty standard for Dutch beery pubs. On tap they server some more rare stuff. Staff was pretty much unaware of what they were selling. Do you have what the tapsigns tell? Yes of course! the young man said. So I ordered an Anchor Summer Ale and he poured a beautiful black Anchor Porter from the tap that said Summer Ale. No that I gave it back as I really prefer the Porter, but still. Would I make a detour to visit the pub? No. Do I go back when I’m in the centre of Leiden? Yes, as they had some interesting beers on tap that change now and then. Besides the Porter I had a Bacchus on tap.
