Another new beer bar/resto in Lille with a cozy atmosphere. Good selection of beers on tap - 8 and numerous ones on the bottle. The food is really good and I felt it absolute value for money for the quality and price.

A nice pla ce to share beers with friend. David and Stéphane will receive you as a friend and will be happy to show you their beers. At midday betwwen Monday and Friday it is a restaurant very good and cheap, and some nights per week there are live performs on the cellar. A nice place to enjoy a good night on Lille.

A new beer restaurant in Lille with a nice selection of craft beers on tap (8) and bottles. Food is home made with beers, a good point. Much of the evening concerts are held, rock and jazzy drinking a good beer. A place to try if you’re in Lille!

visited in February 2012. We had lunch here, which consisted of a starter and a main dish (don’t say entrée in French, entrée means starter!). Home made foie gras which was made with a peated whiskey, very good! Also oeuf cocotte, with bacon and blue cheese, simple but good. Main course was a Welsh, something totally new for me. It was very good, but really heavy with all the melted cheese. I was glad I could trade half of it for my wife’s fish. Which was also very good. Accompanied by home made fries and home made mayonnaise or a boiled potato with a nice herb cream sauce. There was a good selection of beers on draft as well as a lot of local bottles. Terroir, that’s what it’s all about, right? I even added some new beers to ratebeer, which I had here. If you know that the owner is the same of La Capsule, then you know the beer selection will be good. Oh, and did I mention the price? Very modest pricing for a good lunch, it’s typical French, but it still manages to surprise me every time. I think one of the best cheap eats in the whole city.

Une bonne bière sans une bonne ambiance, c’est ça l’esprit du Monk’s. Et idéal le midi pour déjeuner en buvant de bons produits.

Que dire du monk’s: sans doute un mini paradis sur Lille pour les amateurs de bières qui souhaitent boire une bonne bière le midi avec un plat très bien cuisiné (j’y ai testé lapin à la moinette et carbonnade flamande) ou qui souhaitent boire l’apero en soirée avec de la musique jazzy, une ambiance conviviale et des planches à partager très bien faites (j’ai goûté la régionale et la monk’s, que de saveurs !)

New place in my hometown, good selection of beers on tap, such as Moinette , very good regional food with fresh products, and a fairly good selection of bottled beer. The restaurant is working only around noon, on the evening it’s small restauration, tapas like .. overall a good and friendly place to go to.

Newly created restaurant/bar with a good selection of local craft beers on tap and bottled. Food is regional and fresh, excellent french fries. Not to be missed when visiting Lille.
