68 Near LAX airport. Taps are mostly CA breweries,a decent sized bottle list. The food was very good. It's close to the airport, so I'll probably come back when I have a long layover. But I wouldn't make a special trip here. |
80 First time on the West Coast, just landed and picked up the car: first stop was this place! Good memories, probably because we were so psyched to be here! Beer list was more then OK with a nice variation between hoppy stuff, sours and stouts. Bartender was very kind and quick. Nice half hour at the bar! Next stop: Randy’s Donuts ^^ |
74 A small bar at the hotell! I was there on a wednesday and they had free tasting. Friendly straff! |
72 On a layover in LA, I left the dull gargantuan airport in search of beer. Thankfully, the free shuttle got me here and back though it was a bit close.
However, I was rewarded by great staff guiding me through the taplist and happily sharing samples. The atmosphere is weak but what can you expect from a hotel lobby bar - it’s generic city. The beers were good, the food looked good though pricey and all in all it is a very good option if on a layover at LAX. |
66 An average hotel bar with a very nice tap and bottle list. Much more than you would ever expect and some hidden gems. Just be prepared to pay a premium. If you have a layover though there is no better walkable options. |
68 Visited twice in November. Reasonably decent place in the hotel I stayed in on both ends of a trip to Kaua’i. The bartender who recognized/admired my De La Senne t-shirt gets major props for steering me away from old bottles (e.g., XX Bitter)...so I generally just sampled a few things from tap during my visits. Nothing much excited me, but the Smog City Little Bo Pils was quite solid and slammable, happily available both times. So yeah, not a very big tap selection and nothing too rare (and of course beware old bottles, as you must everywhere, although the list is fairly large), but a worthy and convenient stop if you’re just using LAX as an overnight layover spot. |
76 I asked about a sampler and was told they don’t do samplers, which I was a bit surprised. Still fantastic line-up on draft of about 10 CA beers. Atmosphere is any hotel bar. Watched football, are lunch, drank good stuff, went back to LAX to catch my flight.

90 Bizarre gem in a hotel near LAX. Our server was awesome and really knew his beer, but there were some other servers that seemed less capable. I got a sampler of four of their 12 taps for $12. Bottle list was amazing. Some rare, but expensive selections. If you’re on an expense account around LAX, this place is a must stop. |
82 Interesting place. In the lobby of the Sheraton Four Points. It looks like your average hotel bar. But then you see the beer list. All California taps, and an amazing bottle list that rivals most regular craft beer bars. Clienetele is a mixture of folks staying at nearby hotels that don’t have such interesting bars, plus regulars from the area. They hold beervtastings every 2nd and 4th Fridays. They do tasters, but oddly their "Sample Six" comes with only four beers. Staff set me up with six not-quite-full-glasses for the price of four though. There is a dedicated free shuttle from LAX, plus on site paynparking. |
82 Visited several times during RBSG to get some ticks from the bar and even to take some Monkey Paw beers up to the room. Very laid back bar with a great beer selection. I was very impressed. I don’t have much business in/around El Segundo but I do recommend this place to travelers that are staying around LAX. The service is friendly, even if they don’t know much about the beer, they have good food (albeit pricey), and of course they have a good beer selection. They don’t seem to mind people wandering around the hotel with beer either. |
