48 9/17/18 (Milwaukee): First bar hit during day trip to Milwaukee. Large bar and restaurant area, empty during mid-day Monday. Bar had many steins and other Milwaukee Brewery memorabilia which was nice. Service inattentive despite empty bar. Didn't try food, beer was OK. |
52 Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Little crowded, but plenty of room. We didn't try any food, looked ok what we saw. As others have said, not the best service, beers were ok. Lots of other places to visit in the area. |
38 Fuck this place. Tia got it right. I didn't try the food. Customer service was mediocre. It seems to be in a basement... the brick arches are cool, but combined with the booths everywhere it feels claustrophobic. The beer was just god awful. The flight is pre-set. Big pet peeve. Beer quality ranged from mediocre and cloying to WTF how did they even do that? Definitely avoid. Too bad, it's a cool building in a nice part of town. |
38 Beer wasn?t that great. Service was slow. Place was kind of like an old chain restaurant. Didn?t try the food. Pretty much didn?t even drink the beer- took a couple of sips off of most of my sampler for rating purposes and then went elsewhere. |
46 We went here because it was within line of sight of our hotel. Very average interior, kind of a tired feel. Friendly service but clueless. Below average beers across the board. Would not return. |
62 Stopped here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. This is a standard American brewpub kinda place, except it’s packed with a pretty cool array of breweriana. The bartender was friendly enough and knowledgeable. The food was OK, and the beer was kinda average, but not bad either. (Brewery #616) |
48 A nice enough looking place with outside seating and flat screens at the bar. Did not try the food but did order a fluffy that contained all their regular beers plus one seasonal. Nothing that impressed. And if the beer at a brewpub is no good..... |
66 Great downtown Milw location on the edge of Water Street in a cool old building with big brew casks in the entrance and stately booths. Bar runs in and out around poles and seats about 12 with the bulk being restaurant. Food quite good, leaning toward pub food with a German flair. Brew choices very mild - no IPA, no stout, nothing darker in the place than an amber/oktoberfest. Good kid place. Good food. Mediocre for micros. |
82 Nice, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of traditional Amrican food and their own beers. Music too loud. Staff very helpful |
64 Stopped in on Friday, 10/15/10 and Sunday, 10/17/10. Decent looking place that wasn’t terribly busy during either trip. Selection wasn’t all that impressive, but their pumpkin ale was unique and good enough to keep drinking. Didn’t try the food. Service was okay on Friday night and pretty solid on Sunday afternoon. |
