Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery

Old school looking brewpub. Brown bar type interior with a little English pub appeal. Large outside seating area. Didn't try the food, though it looked good, when Jess and I visited during our Minneapolis visit in 2021 on our way to Duluth for Winchell's wedding.

I was less than impressed with this place, after having heard so much about it. Average beer, so-so service. Preset flights, but there was a buuild your own option. I dind't eat, but it seemed to be turning over the crowd very fast. Drink, eat, drink, skedaddle. For a better experience go across the street to Republic

I think I've been here three or four times over the years, and it never seems to change. Decent beer and service but I hate the preset flights. Let us choose what we want.

In between Home Brew Con sessions I hailed a Lyft over to Town Hall for lunch and beers. The day was offering off/on rain/sprinkles or this would be a pleasant walk from downtown. The place was fairly empty for my late lunch but I nonetheless enjoyed a couple of flights and some food. It took me a while to decide on food as the options were just not that appealing; the best sounding option did not pair well with the mid-80 degree weather, a putine burger. While sounding great, this is more of a cold weather option and something nap inducing. I opted for a lighter option while contemplating the beers. Certainly a Minneapolis icon and worth visiting, but maybe only for the beers.

Nice brewpub, interior is a mix of brick and wood with plenty of seating. They have roughly 20 of their own beers as well as some ciders and guest taps. Flights are available but they are set flights. The food was good and our server was very knowledgeable helping with some people in our group selecting ciders and others selecting beers. Definitely worth a visit.

This brewpub is one of the most beautiful interiors I have ever seen. Old, but well kept up. They hold a solid amount of events, and their selection is always large and changing. Their food is quite tasty, upscale bar food at a typical price.Their beer is actually some of the best in Minneapolis. Their flagships and barrel aged beers are pretty great, but I have had some duds. Overall, this is a solid place to stop by.

Classic brewpub. Large number of house beers on tap, nitro, hand pump, plus some guest beers. Good mix of fixed selection, seasonals and specials/one-offs, something for everybody. Leans towards German styles, which are done well. Fast, attentive service, tasty food. A must visit in MSP!

A busy place across the street from Republic. 15 of their own beers on tap plus 4 guest taps. 8 ciders on tap. Flights of 5 available. On the food side we only had nachos. Felt a bit English to me. Not the nachos but the place.
