Older building - you have to walk past all the brewing equipment to get to the brewpub. Not a ton of seating - pretty large outdoor area though. 5-6 of their beers on tap. Nice laid back place.

I think artsy is a pretty nice euphemism for the part of town this is in. I felt like I was forging a river of broken glass to get there. Parking was awful. Street parking, completely packed at like 5PM, although I have no idea where everybody was. I ended up parking in a lot up the hill a couple blocks away that was for some other businesses and hoped for the best. You walk in the front door and pass the brewing area until you get to the back where there is in fact a pretty nice, if cozy, tasting room. 5 beers on tap including four regulars and a weekly special. They have some food, and what I had was in fact quite good. Service is great and friendly. They have a stage and were setting up for a live band while I was there, but I left before they began. Beers were so so for the most part, but the special Mesquite smoke alt was solid for those who like rauchbier. Doing a decent business of mostly locals while I was there.

Visited here in late July í15 while in the area for business. Located in a artsy part of town (or so it seems, Iím not a local). The entrance brings you through the brewing area and leads you to the bar area. Have about eight to ten of their own on tap, the two I had; an IPA and an Oatmeal Stout were above average. Limited menu, burgers, a few salads I think. I had the burger and It was pretty tasty. Place started really getting crowded as the night wore on - seemed to be quite a popular late night place.

Nice open bar area with long bar and several tables. No tv but good music. Friendly staff. Pretty good beers. Patio area with games and tables. Pretty nice stop. Just across river and out of huge downtown bustle. You need to stop by

Visited with friends from out of town. Fantastic little place with good parking. Small and comfortable with beautiful benches. The bartender was great. Even though they didnít have anything gluten-free on their menu (for my girlfriend) the chef brought out a plate of delicious fresh fruit and gave it to us complimentary. They also have a nice courtyard with lawn games. Really nice place. Great price on beers and on the sampler tray.

Ah, finally a brewery that I can easily and without any second thought is my favorite to visit in the entire state. Unlike most Tennesseean breweries, Fat Bottom is modern, hip, makes very good American-styled beers, has fantastic atmosphere and has an identity as a place to drink local quality beer. I merely wanted to try some new stuff and I was sold on the "Fat Bottom" gimmick. Given that itís in Tennessee, my expectations were mediocre. They only had five beers available, but three of them I found to be excellent. The bartender was entertaining, efficient, personable, all around fantastic at his job. We spent most of our time at the small bar, taking in the cool, wooden decor and brewerania and enjoying absolutely delicious food. The hummus is a must. The hot chicken is a delicious sandwich, but it ainít Nashville hot chicken as far as Iím concerned, but thatís a whole different argument. After having a pint, appetizer and a meal we ventured to the garden outside which was gorgeous. Itís spacious with lights in the trees, roomy seating and cornhole for those who desire. I had an absolutely excellent experience here and this will be my new mandatory Nashville stop.

I loved the setup - beautiful wood bar, tables, etc. plus an awesome patio. Parking was a challenge, but I think this will level out in time. The food was absolutely amazing. Three friends and I plowed through both the cheese and meat plates, in love with every bite. Oh, and the beer of course!
