Wandered alone through the deserted streets of Oirschot to find this place. Turns out I was the only guest at least for first half an hour. Felt a bit spooky. Afterwards the locals kept popping in and the bar got more lively. Lady working at the bar was kind and explained me how to get to the Eindhoven by train. Tap selection is somewhat limited and not that interesting. Bottle selection is huge, good combination of imports and Dutch stuff. Had my first Emelisse White Label here and I’m a fan ever since. If you’re around pay it a visit.

Rather spacy bar with just a couple of taps but a supersized bottle list. Ofcourse, thats almost impossible to keep up to date, so several bottles will be sold out. Extensive list with lots of Dutch micros, usual Belgian suspects and US/UK imports. Friendly service, like most bars in Brabant. Darts and pool plus a slot machine as well, which also attracts low-lifes to the bar, like Benzai and Drebus :P

Nice cafe with traditional interior and spacious terrace out front. Music was good as was the service. I don’t value the huge selection of beer. It’s better to have 100 well rotated, fresh beers than 1500 old ones. All 4 of the beers I had were well over 2 years past their sell by date. For some beers that’s ok, for others not. I would visit again but would stick to the tap beers.

Nicely setup with bar, pool and separate smoking area. Huge bottle list which can be a pain to navigate, but an update was coming. Great place if you are in the area.

Mellow place that happened to be celebrating someone’s 50th birthday when we visited. Staff and locals are friendly. Beer list is massive, even by Belgian standards - and it’s all visible from the back tables. Worth a stop.

The pub has a nice feel to it, limping a bit between old-fashioned and modern touches. Good atmosphere with lots of locals. (soccer was on and it was the first Sunday with nice weather in spring)
The window to the ’cellar’ is a nice touch.
Very decent beer list. Even though not everything on it is available, there are quite a few jewels to be found, and the computer screen searching is a convenient help.
Thanks joes and Judy for a relaxed afternoon!

Old brown pub just 400m outside of the village centre square and church, about the same distance from tourist information point. Separate smoking area. Terrace largely sheltered from wind with an estimated 50 chairs. A lot of different beers, but due to illness of the owner the beers aren’t rotating quick enough, so chances are you will get an old beer. Not that it really matters as long as it’s not a hoppy one (those do sell out quickly) but some people value freshness in every beer they drink. Prices are ok.
