Pub La Rana Dorada (Cangrejo)

Five different beers in the sampler, which was free, which is awesome. First Panama brewpub, much preferred to Istmo Brewpub. The picada was pretty good but a little pricey. Just need more beers!

This is a nice stop in the neighborhood. Dark interior with low tables and a small bar. They had several of their own beers on tap, all of which were light in general but appropriate for the Central American heat. We ate the wings, which were tasty. Our hotel was not far so we stopped by several times.

Medium sized bar with low wooden tables and stools, poor food menu with No English translation, only 3 of their own brews on tap and 4-5 popular bottles in the fridge, nice atmosphere though. Not bad for Panama City.

Four clean and varied house beers. Some typical fried pub grub but some nice additions like yucca and patacones. Large bar with mostly guys speaking English or Spanish. Powerful A/C. Bottled corona, Leffe Blonde, Stella Artois, Paulaner Hefe-weissbier. Dozen outdoor seats on small patio with chainsmokers. I side rock & roll tunes in English. Two TVs with. Fox sports (no audio, no closed caption). Free WiFi. Samplers always offered. Happy Hour 2x1 prices 12-6pm.

Great pub like atmosphere with seating inside and outside. Good service and good pub grub. And best of all...La Rana Dorada’s excellent beer. Right in the middle of upscale Cangrejo district with lots of bar/resturant/hotel nearby.
