| orangesol (28), Pennsylvania | | August 31, 2011 TJ’s is awesome for sure. The bar is a decent size with the current tap lists shown on big "chalk board" TV screens. The menu is a good size with lots of different tasty treats. Most recently I have had the buffalo chicken mac n cheese and a burger and bothwere great. I also tried some of the boneless chicken wings and they were very good as well. While the food was good, the beer list was even better. All different kinds of beer from all over the world. Keep an eye out for their events, the tap lists are even better, if that is even possible. The service was very good as well. They came to check on us every time our drinks got low. Overall a quality spot for sure. I will return for more very soon. | pilgrimoutlaw (5), Wayne, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | August 11, 2011 Great beer selection at reasonable prices. Automated tap list makes it easy to check what’s on tap. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. My only complaint about this place is that the food just isn’t that good. | | callmemickey (14), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | July 12, 2011 TJs is my favorite bar in the Philly area. Jeff, Kevin, and Scott keep everyone happy. The draft lift is always diverse and top notch. The food is pretty damn good for casual fair. The prices are right, they sell bottles and growlers to go, and you can take the train from center city out to the bar. All of those things add up. | | regspeir (17), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | June 16, 2010 This is a very comfortable place that clearly cares about craft beer and its customers. The manager (Jeff?) is visible and approachable. Scott may be the best bartender in the area. While not all are as knowledgeable and friendly as he, most are very hard workers (they hustle!) and competent. Food is ok to good (go for the specials). Beer selection though is great (over 20 taps incl. hand pulled) and their special events are awesome. | | delirium11 (27), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | June 7, 2010 Great place! The biggest selection of beer in suburban Philly, much cheaper than Teresa’s Next Door (much friendlier too) and great service. I’ve been here many times and will be going back. | poojer (2), does not count - explanation | | May 8, 2010 Great place along the SEPTA main line. Beer Selection is always changing..one of the few places that gets both Pliny The Elder & Younger. Food is very good and they offer large and small portions. The waitstaff are always friendly. A must visit place in the philly area | | vze1mhay (14), Stroudsburg, | | October 24, 2009 They are always rotating a good selection of micro’s on tap with several hand casks available. excellent bottle selection. the sampler has a gerenous amount of each beer. Good place to hang out and watch a game. Staff friendly and knowlegeable. | | agl108 (30), Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania | | April 6, 2009 Finally checked this place out after monitoring their draft list for months. Surprisingly empty bar area for a Saturday night. Several large plasmas, perfect for watching a game. Nice size draft list and even better bottle list. Food was slightly above average pub fare. Would definitely revisit but with Teresa’s and Capone’s closer that may be tough to do. | | michael-pollack (100), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | January 17, 2009 [ Updated February 11, 2012 ] Nice place. Very good service. Very good selection. Good food. Average value. | | watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | January 12, 2009 though this bar is a little open and bright for my taste, the service and food coupled with a top notch beer selecion (great cellar aged options) make this place one of my favorites. prices might be a little on the high side but its hard to complain when the selection is so good. |
