Nice place with a decent indoor setup. The strip mall doesn’t add a ton to the ambiance but it has proper lighting and a decent setup. Service was friendly and willing. Not a ton of taps but it had some solid brews on. Had pub pretzels, thought they were solid. Main line prices make value a challenge. Some brews were way overpriced.

I go there at least once a month for a business lunch. My friends who are true “beer snobs” love this place. Very well rounded beer menu. Excellent, attentive staff. Good menu. The mac n cheese and bunny schnitzel are my favorites. Just to name a few beers … Kasteel Rogue, Troegs Dreamweaver, Avery’s Ellie’s Brown, Green Flash Palate Wrecker, 21st Amendment Bitter, Brooklyner Weisse, Sixpoint Resin, Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, Great Divide Orabelle, Arcadia Hopmouth, Allagash Grand Cru and much, much more. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of beers. Between the beer selection, food quality and prices TJ’s beats all beer restaurant in Western Philly.

Visited on 25/05/12 a Friday lunchtime and grabbed the last 2 spaces at the end of the bar. Seating areas were almost full at this point. Great selection from the 30 taps where I enjoyed beers from Alesmith, Port Brewing, Clown Shoes, Iron Fist and a Schneider beer on cask! Bartender was knowledgeable, friendly happy to give samples and our water were always topped up without asking. Mix of local workers and friday lunchtime session beer heads. Food was decent we shared some different flavoured mac’n’cheeses and some wings. A definate second visit beckons on my next trip to PA!

Great selection and price. Loved the led screen for draft list. Waitress was not very friendly

TJ’s is awesome for sure. The bar is a decent size with the current tap lists shown on big "chalk board" TV screens. The menu is a good size with lots of different tasty treats. Most recently I have had the buffalo chicken mac n cheese and a burger and bothwere great. I also tried some of the boneless chicken wings and they were very good as well. While the food was good, the beer list was even better. All different kinds of beer from all over the world. Keep an eye out for their events, the tap lists are even better, if that is even possible. The service was very good as well. They came to check on us every time our drinks got low. Overall a quality spot for sure. I will return for more very soon.

Great beer selection at reasonable prices. Automated tap list makes it easy to check what’s on tap. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. My only complaint about this place is that the food just isn’t that good.

TJs is my favorite bar in the Philly area. Jeff, Kevin, and Scott keep everyone happy. The draft lift is always diverse and top notch. The food is pretty damn good for casual fair. The prices are right, they sell bottles and growlers to go, and you can take the train from center city out to the bar. All of those things add up.

This is a very comfortable place that clearly cares about craft beer and its customers. The manager (Jeff?) is visible and approachable. Scott may be the best bartender in the area. While not all are as knowledgeable and friendly as he, most are very hard workers (they hustle!) and competent. Food is ok to good (go for the specials). Beer selection though is great (over 20 taps incl. hand pulled) and their special events are awesome.

Great place! The biggest selection of beer in suburban Philly, much cheaper than Teresa’s Next Door (much friendlier too) and great service. I’ve been here many times and will be going back.

Great place along the SEPTA main line. Beer Selection is always changing..one of the few places that gets both Pliny The Elder & Younger. Food is very good and they offer large and small portions. The waitstaff are always friendly. A must visit place in the philly area
