| tone77 (13), Pennsylvania | | March 13, 2012 This is a solid store. All of the local and national craft breweries are represented, as well as a good number of imports. Singles, bombers, 6ers, and 12 packs are all available at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that about 40% of the beers displayed are not priced, hence it will require multiple trips to the register to ask "how much is this one"? In closing this store is worth checking out if in the area. | Heavyhitter (2), Baltimore, Maryland does not count - explanation | | February 25, 2012 When I described what I wanted - a smooth, rich beer with no bitter aftertaste, the guy recommends Leinenkugel......yea, LEINENKUGEL. | Mdsurveyor (1), Bel Air, Maryland does not count - explanation | | January 22, 2012 An impressive selection! The staff is knowledgeable and obviously loves beer. They were very helpful finding particular styles and offering recommendations on their own favorites. The best part is that you can make your own 6-pack for a 10% discount, even on the larger bottles and they offer "frequent flyer" discounts. Excellent! | moocow9386 (9), Palo Alto, California does not count - explanation | | December 27, 2010 The best thing about this place is their beer enthusiasm. In this area it isn’t too common to find a place that prides itself in its beer. What also makes this place great is that they let you build your own 6-pack and give you 10% off when doing so. They have a "wall of singles" with an above average selection.
However, what makes me a repeat customer is that they let me break some 4/6 packs into singles that weren’t on the beer wall. I walked out with a six pick with some Siberian Night, Saison Dupont, and Goose Island, and they were cool with it. I really appreciated that.
The staff seems really accommodating, which is a plus. I recommend this place for anyone who lives in Harford County or the Northeast part of Baltimore. It’s not too common to find a place that allows building your own six pack, so they should be rewarded with business. They have a great selection of Dogfish Head if you want to sample a bunch of their products. | | willblake (81), Bel Air, Maryland | | March 20, 2010 Surprised this place wasn’t listed here as it’s definitely one of the best beer stores in the area, and certainly the most enthusiastic! Nice, clean, new looking store with tons of strip mall parking. Dynamic selection is almost entirely singles, which is awesome. Also a solid focus on local brews and good selection of US and Belgian treats. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and today even poured me a sample of the new batch of Troegs Java Head for no reason other than they’re awesome. Not much I can’t get at Wine World, but their twitter updates, specials, and singles keep me making the drive. Kudos guys! |
