| jredmond (111), Manhattan, New York | | January 22, 2012 my girlfriend and j use to stop by every once in awhile back when we lived in Philly. A way trendy atmosphere with friendly staff and good food. They had a solid beer offering, while never huge, it was always unique and quality. | | blipp (68), Newark, New Jersey | | November 25, 2011 Smallish place with not a ton of seating. Great service from people who know their stuff. The food is great, perfect spot to take a date, you can get a few cheeses, a few smaller dishes, and a sandwich and it’s the perfect amount to split. Decent beer selection that focuses more on having a good selection of high quality beers than on getting the next rare beer, they do get the occasional treat though. Prices are generally fair for Philadelphia, the food is a little expensive but definitely worth the price in my opinion. | | Phillies2008Champs (14), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania | | August 27, 2011 [ Updated January 15, 2012 ] I spent the day here after the Phillies parade in 08. I went back yesterday. The beer selection is solid but not very large. The prices are insane but the place is nice and food is very good. | JohnCoctosin (7), California does not count - explanation | | July 1, 2011 Had a great time at "Sunday School". We tried a few nice Belgians and a marked down to $3 DFH Festina Peche. GF enjoyed her Nicoise salad and our friends liked their cheese plate. Service was great. Small and cramped restaurant/bar though with really small restrooms. Nice setup though for such a small place. | | Steeeve (34), Ambler, Pennsylvania | | January 24, 2011 Great little place in Center City. Somewhat of a high-brow atmosphere, though I did not find them to be at all snobby. Our server was very polite and understanding that we didnt know what a lot of the food menu items were. Selection was pretty good. Draft is somewhat limited but the bottle selection goes deeper. Food was delicious. Not your every day Friday’s potato skins. If you’re looking for bar food, go somewhere else. Prices were decent, not great but not outrageous. I liked it. A great spot if you’re looking for something a little nicer and quieter than a typical bar. | | GMCC2181 (42), Newark , Delaware | | June 11, 2010 Nice place to grab a beer and chill. Very small with limited seating. Looked like 8 taps or so, nice bottle list to choose from as well. Food was good. Sevice was good as well. A beer geek will find something to make them happy there. | | zdk (79), New York, New York | | January 31, 2010 a bit too trendy and posh for my tastes, though considering the upper class wine-swilling clientele, the prices on beer were pretty good (though annoyingly, not listed on the menus). Paired the beer with beets+bulgarian feta app. Yum! Service was friendly and the place had a good vibe. | | 41cubs (23), , New Jersey | | October 15, 2009 Do not miss this place if you appreciate a thoughtful artisanal based menu, intimate setting, and a relaxed, attentive, informed service etiquette. Small (20 or so brews) beer list that includes a variety of styles and brewerys to suite almost any budget and preference. Great meat and cheese plates with compotes, relishes, flavored oils and spreads that are really not to be missed. Staff made suggestions that were very helpful and right on. Great joint for anybody who enjoys anything about experiencing the new in a comfortable setting. | | jmm635 (66), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | September 21, 2009 Tria is a little trendy and expensive to be your local hangout, but it’s a very nice treat every once in a while. Tap and bottle list is small compared to other standard Philly beer bars, but the selection is excellent. Had the Stone Vertical Epic 09.09.09 on tap over the weekend - that says quite a bit. Food is also excellent, but pretty small plates so don’t plan on filling up unless you want to spend a fortune. Cheese selection is top notch! | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | January 11, 2009 Stopped here on a Saturday night with fredandboboflo. This was a pretty cool place. It has a very uppity-vibe and it was quite crowded when we were there, but we did get seats. Solid tap list. It’s not very long, but it had quality beers. We got Victory Yakima Twilight, Yards Extra Special Ale, Meantime IPA, and Allagash Interlude. They also have a really good wine list if you’re into that too. We ordered a cheese plate and it was awesome as well. Pricey and not exactly the atmosphere I’m into, but I can’t deny that this is a really good beerbar. Definitely check it out. |
