56 Pretty standard Whole Food selection. A half dozen coolers of large craft beers and Belgians. Poor single can selection. |
76 good selection of bottles and cans as well as a bar with about 16 taps. No flights. |
72 Nice selection but pretty much the same as the other Whole Foods throughout the city. Worth a stop if in need of a couple quick bottles. |
82 Big whole foods with a great beer selection. Lots of interesting beers, including some really special stuff like mexican monsters park. Single bottles allowed. Good prices. Recommended. |

76 Great place to buy beer in SoMA. Larger than average whole foods with a nice beer case. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of local beer to choose from. Similar to other Whole Foods but if you’re in the area, you owe it to yourself to see if there’s anything interesting. |
88 The beer celection is really good. As well as the food. |
76 Nice Whole Foods with some of the better beers in the area. The clerk knew all about the beer scene and was eager to talk about it or help with selection. Parking, like most places in SF, was a little weird with the parking garage making it somewhat difficult to get in. |
76 Excellent selection of mostly Cali beers, including the likes of Russian River, Almanac, Knee Deep and so forth. Prices are average, and customer service is friendly as always for Whole Foods. Not really any reason to go out of your way to get here, but if in the area, it’s worth popping in. |

This is a large store in crowded San Francisco, near the Moscone Center. I was very surprised by both how much real estate they have as well as how much beer they carry. This might be the most impressive Whole Foods that I’ve been to in terms of beer. Russian River, Firestone, Logsdon, Lagunitas, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Drakes, Anchor, Lost Abbey, Bruery, Boulevard, Knee Deep, Port, Ballast Point, AleSmith, Stone, Maui, Oskar Blues, Allagash, the list goes on. Prices were a bit high, service was non-existent but that’s fine. Pretty standard for a Whole Foods in most regards but the beer. Since I do occasionally have business in the area I’ll be stopping back in at some point for sure. |
