No Longer In Business

Visited early afternoon on Thursday June 25, 2015. Not very visible from the outside, you need to get into the building/mall, head up to the top floor, then you’ll find it. Shares restroom with the mall, close by though. Wifi available. A lot of standard GB beers, but some I hadn’t had before. Walked over from Rock Bottom. Only stayed for one beer, also got treated to a sample of a beer I had tried at another GB in the past. Fast and friendly service. Not crowded, but quite a lot of people around. If in the area not a bad place to grab a beer, but nothing I’d search out. Centrally located in the Capitol Hill area.

Convenient downtown location, but not sticking its nose out of the Gordon Biersch mold, so expect a large place with a downtown business patronage and clean, but unadventurous and dullish German styles. This should not be on your hit-list, but makes sense to visit if you are stuck in downtown for several days and have hit Elysian, Pike, TapHouse and the better places around,

Nice place with on 4th floor of a shopping mall. I had 6 samples for $5-6. DIdnt try their food. Service was quick.

All German-Czech style beers here although food was more international. Beer were clean but uninspiring, ok with food. Clean beerhall. Food was excellent although a bit pricey. For food ok, not for beeraficionados, just for ticks.

2010-07. Visited late on a Saturday evening last July, mostly because it was across the street from our hotel. They were playing a set indie music playlist and was a little upscale for what was essentially a sports bar, but the service was especially friendly and we enjoyed the sampler of 6 brews on tap (despite being quite dull overall). Glad to have visited but was too cookie-cutter generic to leave me with a better impression.

2010-07. Across the street from our hotel I stopped by at Mabel’s insistence. This was a mistake. Its nice enough, its the usual chain atmosphere of GB which is not bad. Beer is mediocre. Server was friendly. Food is probably good, we didn’t have any. Honestly, if you are on Ratebeer and you are in Seattle you should be going somewhere else. Tap House Grill is around the corner and the selection is significantly better.

Where’s the GB love? I really enjoyed this place. Walking around downtown and I looked up and went "whoa! There’s one here?". Heard good thing about the brew so we went in for lunch. Ambience was ok, not a pub more of a Seattle eatery in a mall experience. Appropriate selection of thier beers for a brew pub 6-7 total. Service and food were spot on and make me want to go back. Value wasn’t great but as expected to match the location and menu items, worth it.

Went here in 2003, doesn’t sound like it’s changed much in the intervening years. Clean, pleasant barroom - very light and airy and right at the top of a mall in central Seattle. Beers were average, but service was pleasant enough.

sterile and way overpriced food, but it is tasty and the beers are good.
