72 Thi is a large, bright, modern shiny store that seems well organized. Beer selection is in the back, organized by country and then alphabetically by brewer. Tons of beers in coolers. Essentially nothing available as singles except for select bottles (lambic, gueuze, etc). When I asked about this, the manager actually referred me to two nearby stores that do offer singles and mixed sixers (extra points for that). Prices are high. An OK stop. |
94 Top notch beer store, with incredible selection, excellent staff who is inquisitive, but not pesky and great layout (but country and region). Offers a 10% discount for 6 singles and a 15% for 12 or more. The only quibble with Redstone is that they don't break down enough beers into singles. |
72 Stopped by here recently when I was in the area. Very small and crowded. Beers everywhere no ryhme or reason. Lots of very pricy bomers and 750s. Multiple scattered coolers with cold six and 4-packs. Prices are higher than average. They need to expand, soon! |
84 This is in a plaza on Route 28 in Stoneham. They need more space to grow in this store. The liquor aisles kind of merge with the beer aisles. They are so cramped for space that they put mixed bottles of beer on top of the coolers and high on shelves that are a bit out of reach. But who cares considering the fine selection of local, regional and international beer. They break their beers shelves out by region to make it a little easier if you are looking for something. But you will be stumbling over mixed 12-packs in every corner as you work your way through this store. Mix and match allowed with a 10% discount when you buy 6. |
100 Great place - Kamal and staff are at the top of their game. You want it, they have it - or, if they don’t they’ll get it for you. Don’t miss their annual tasting fundraiser/benefit! |

90 This place looks like a regular package store, until you get to the beer shelves. They have the best beer selection of any store I have visited north of Boston, with a fair split between locals, us micros and international. Best selection of Mikkeler I have seen anywhere. Same goes for Night Shift (an Everett, MA nano brew). They get some rare and unusual stuff and will ration out the high demand stuff. I just picked up a barrel aged maple lager from Jack's Abby that was made exclusively for them.
Service was very friendly, they even offered to take my selections to the counter for me, and knowledgable. |
84 Incredible selection of local and not so local beers. Very nice staff, though not very proactive. Got a nice 15% discount for purchasing a case of bottles, which was nice and unexpected. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area, particularly since you don’t have to drive too close to the city. |
88 Stopped in at Redstone was on my to - do list. I was in the Stoneham area on Sunday and had to stop. The beer manger knows what to order and has a lot of harder to find bottles from New England Breweries as well as Imports. The selection was so good it really caught me off-guard. The prices are comparable to nearly any other place in Massachusetts. They actually could use a bit more room as they had more the shelves can display. I will make a return trip here and really is worth a stop if you are in the area.
***update*** they moved to a larger location in the same shopping center. and it is much larger!! |
