| adamjackson (22), Canaan, New Hampshire | | January 31, 2012 I never would have known about Redstone had it not been for an email I received from them saying they had some items I had posted as hard to find. I setup a larger order and dropped by 2 weeks later to pick them up. Three beers that are impossible to locate were being saved for me and they charged me exactly what the brewer charges and not a penny more despite it taking weeks to track down a bottle I was interested in.
The store is a bit cramped but they make due with a fantastic layout and work their butts off keeping bottles fresh and priced appropriately.
These guys KNOW beer. It’s awesome talking to them
This is my new beer store. Not just because the selection is fantastic but because the guys running it know what they’re doing and bend over backward for every customer that walks in the door. | tendermorsel (5), Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | December 27, 2011 Awesome place. The staff is great. Open to suggestions and willing make suggestions. Quite knowlegable about craft beer too. They always try to get in the best beers and if it comes to mass they will have it. Best place on the North Shore by far. Highly reccomended for selection and service. | pinto1993 (3), Revere, Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | December 19, 2011 This is really a well run store with a friendly and knowledgable staff. They have a great selection of beers that are well organized by geographic location within the small store. Follow them on facebook or twitter and you will be updated regularly with the latest offerings. I also like how they limit the distritbution of some hard to get beers to ensure that everyone gets a chance at purchasing. If you live on the north shore of boston, this is a must visit. | | johnnnniee (50), Bedford, New Hampshire | | December 8, 2011 I stopped in here for the first time this past weekend while I was passing through on my way to Chelsea. A few turns from the off ramp but nothing my gps couldn’t find. Its in a shopping mall, but in a weird back corner next door to what used to be a supermarket but is now closed. Anyhow lots of easy parking on a Saturday afternoon. Looks like any typical neighborhood packey, long store front, register against the right hand wall, liquor and wine front and center, beer off in the back. Lots of warm beer available on multiple sets of shelves, multiple floor displays, as well as most of the 10 or so cooler doors. Great variety of local and regional beers with an impressive Belgian selection. Service was attentive even if I did stump the kid asking about Firestone 15. Prices seemed average for the Massachusetts market which I find higher than at home in NH. If I were in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in. Great selection. | | thornecb (43), Marblehead, Massachusetts | | November 19, 2011 Redstone is located in a shopping center near the 128/93 merge North of Boston. Typical liquor store set-up, so beer is in the back. Biggest selection I’ve seen outside of Julio’s in the state. Was given a tour of the selection by the very helpful staff quick to point out fresh arrivals. Beers are organized geographically with just about every brewing nation represented. Tons of new and rare offerings - including many hard to find gems from the West coast and Europe. Prices are a little higher than other stores in the area, but volume discounts quickly alleviate the difference. I’ll be coming back... | jaybo99 (7), Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | July 23, 2011 [ Updated September 18, 2011 ] Small space, filled to over-flowing with a better selection than I’ve seen in the Boston area; on my first visit today, two well-informed staff offered helpful, friendly but non-intrusive service. Wide selection of imported and domestic beer, with discounts of 10 and 15% on purchase of 6 or 12 single bottles, and free brewery glasses if they have them to match your purchase. This place is worth a trip. I’ll be a regular shopper here. |
