Poe’s Tavern

A+ for location. Open air bar a few blocks from the beach. The tap list varies widely, seeming to lean to the conservative/typical beach bar side during the tourist season. Nonetheless for the location it’s a great option, and typically the bar is populated by at least a few folks interested in talking beer.

Ive had many a beer and burger at Poes. Great place to eat/drink when you are coming from the beach. Decen’t beer selection...well the best you’ll find around here.

The burgers at Poe’s are ridiculous. Poe’s typically has an decent selection of beers on tap with a rotating array of seasonal beers. The front porch bar is a great place to relax, catch some college football in the fall, and enjoy some quality beer. Poe’s focus isn’t centered on craft beer, but they do typically have a few craft goodies on tap.

Food-wise - this place is stellar - off the charts - a must go culinary burger hotspot. That said - they’re beer ain’t too shabby - but could use some improvement. I had RJ Rocker’s Honey Amber - on tap. It was pretty good - it just tasted like everything else that had been on that line and that was kinda screwed up. They need to get someone out there to clean the beer lines. Otherwise - great spot to hit for happy hour and a good time.
