72 About 12 beers on tap including 2 guest beers. Quality is average. Parking isn’t too bad if you search 1 block. In an industrial area. Friendly staff. $6US for 4 tasters. Wonderful! |
74 2023-02-24. Small taproom tasting area downstairs. I meant to venture up to what looked like more seating upstairs but didn't remember until it was too late. Decent tap selection with 14+ taps in a range of styles. Beers overall were decent for the most part with one or two showing a bit more or less promise. Mabel ordered a pickle and it was served in a tasting glass which tickled my funny bone. Decor is a bit more plain than some other places but the beers while not always impressive are still amongst the better brewery options in town. Worth a visit. |
62 The tasting area is quite large and airy, service was friendly and there's plenty of cans for take away. But the big problem is that they can only legally serve you a single flight! It's great value at 5 bucks but sadly the hanging out part of this place is hindered by the fact that you can only have one. They are applying for a lounge permit though, which would improve this place greatly as a destination. |
68 VIB has a small tap room, but keeps more traditional tap room (i.e. banker's) hours. Still, a flight of four costs $5++, a heck of a deal. The beers have gotten better in the past couple of years with the change in ownership. Beer geeks might not have noticed that, but it's true. Still only gets them to lower mid-card but definitely worth a visit if you're in town. |
70 Update - New owners and a much expanded and nicer tap room where samples are dirt cheap and the beer is well..... - Beer shop with swag, bottles and a few taps. Tasters are free and they offer growler fills. Nothing fancy or particularly interested as most of their beer is easily available. Good for ticks if you need them. |
58 Beer store with 8 taps, flights of 4 for $5. Great value. Beers were marginal. Friendly service. |
52 Small little tasting room combined with a growler and bottle shop. You can get samples or order a flight for cheap. Beer quality is... well, it’s Vancouver Island Brewing: okay, but boring. Hermannator is the only stand-out but it wasn’t on when I went. Not especially worth coming to other than to get some quick ticks. |
52 An okay brewery... it has some decent beers like Flying Tanker and Hermannator but its pretty commercial. They like to align their beers with Lucky Lager and the likes not push the envelope. The party room is fun for a group or work place event - they let you order in pizza, etc. |
86 Great place to grab some beers. Terrific tour and fun to talk about beer. They have a great selection this is a must stop in Victoria. |
58 Ok brewery. Pretty commercialized vibe when you come in, They will have a few of their mainstays on tap - costs $5 for a flight of four. Nice staff, good service. I don’t get the feeling a lot of people come in here as nobody was around when I showed up. Beers are ok - pretty run of the mill other than their hefeweizen which is very well done. Would like to try the Eisbock. |
