| MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | March 31, 2012 A bit more run-of-the-mill ambiance-wise when compared to the amazing BlackBack Pub across the street and the new Prohibition Pig nearby. Lots of beers on tap, also more accessible in the flavors they offer. Fewer strong ales, fewer rarities, but still more than enough quality brews to keep you busy for a few nights when in town. It’s always a good idea to walk in and see if they have anything different from the previously mentioned bars, but apart from that, I admit The Reservoir can’t beat BlackBack, especially if the owner is behind the bar. | | Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | March 28, 2012 A long elongated bar on Main Street, with skiing and brewery paraphernalia, with good pub grub (had the pulled pork sandwich with NC vinegar sauce), 38 taps of middle of the road micros and a few interesting offerings, but definitely a nice pub in such a small town (although they will have competition from the Pig and the Black Back). They do have a nice Vermont Sampler: 4 X 5 on tasters for 6$. | | Reynolds314 (13), Connecticut | | February 20, 2012 Really great pub/eatery in downtown Waterbury. Across the street from the black back pub. 38 Taps including 2 Hill Farmstead, Lawsons double sunshine and many more. Food was good and HUGE. Service was a bit unattentive and mediocre the time we went but otherwise great time. | | Ernesto987 (54), Connecticut | | February 19, 2012 Great spot, 38 beers on tap half local, hill farmstead, lawsons, etc. Food is awesome! Loved it | | johnnnniee (50), Bedford, New Hampshire | | July 14, 2011 Stopped in here for the first time with my wife this past Wednesday for a night cap. We sat at the bar and didn’t have any food, but the trays floating by looked and smelled great. Walk through the front door into a smallish dining area. There is a bar midway across the room that straddles the right side of the building and encompasses the kitchen behind it. 20 to 30 seats at the bar and maybe twice as many tables for dining. The beer selection is great and lengthy with a focus on VT Breweries. They’ve even got a mix and match VT sampler; 4 - 5oz VT brews for like 6 bucks if you are so inclined. Tap list when I was there included: Brooklyn Lager, DFH 90min, Namaste, Guinness, Harpoon Rye IPA 100bbl, Hill Galaxy, Edward, Longtrail Belgian White, Magic Hat Wacko, Mcneils Dead Horse, Old Rasputin, Hennepin, Otter Creek Copper, Rock Art IPA, Saison Dupont, Sam Summer, Shed MT Ale, SN Harvest, Ovila, Smutty IPA, Southern Tier 2xIPA, Stella, Stone Ruination, Switchback, Switchback Roasted Red,The Rez, Trout River Red, Trapp Helles, Long Trail Truck Driver, Weihenstephan, Wolavers wildflower wheat, Wolavers IPA, Woodchuck Pear Cider. And they have a good bottle list too. Ill go back again, and maybe eat there too. | | rejtable (25), Ontario | | April 24, 2011 This was a great experience. Great service, food was exceptional, beer selection was great as well. | | VTHopHead (57), Barre, Vermont | | June 9, 2010 You have to visit both sections of the bar to see all of what is available and they have no "menu" for the beer selection... somewhat frustrating... you have to wander about looking at the tap handles to see what they have, Decent selection of macro and micro/craft beers. Owner is knowledgeable about the beers, but nobody else. Worth a stop to see what they have. | | josarah (77), Hinesburg, Vermont | | January 5, 2010 The draft beer selection is very good and has many locals and regionals The food is standard pub fare that is well prepared and promptly delivered. Not a bad place to bring the kids after skiing. |
