46 Ambiance is nice with big patio. Beers are in good condition, pleskavica was good, served with old bread. Staff was horrible. I am pretty sure, that this was my last visit here. |
60 Same old, same old. The staff there didn’t even know they had some special seasonal beers. I still prefer Medvedgrad in Ilica. |
66 Bit outside of city center. As in other Medvedgrad pubs service could be a bit better, smile or two wouldn’t kill them. Food is decent, really not a bad place to have a go at inexpensive pub food. Usual Medvedgrad selection of beers which is not bad for Zagreb. |
66 Nice ambient with big terrace. Beer selection is good, they offer their Medvedgrad beer including seasonals and specials. Food is really good and prices are reasonable, especially if there is some sort of happy hour. Although the stuff could be better, there is nothing much to complain about. |
54 Nice terrace with lot of trees and plants. Theirs brewhouse lager beers. I would like some ales too here. Good food, for normal price. For me biggest problem here is stuff. They need some time to come to you... Sometimes I wait more then 15 minutes so I went out from here. This didnt happend only once. overall its nice place if you have luck with waiters. |
72 The Božidara Adžije location was the first outlet to open after Medvedgrad was reorganized as a chain of pubs supplied from a brewery (first in Oroslavje, now in Samoborska). Slightly out of the regular way, but still central and easily reachable in any case. Quite large, with a fine patio. All of these seem to serve the same types of food, with generally good portions for the price. Had some ćevapi quite cheap during some happy hour, they were ok. The beers (light, amber, dark & strong dark lagers, wheat and, since July 2013 a cherry beer) are quite a bit above the Croatian standards, and though not thrilling, really appreciated. The quality of the staff varies from place to place, and varies from very good overall to bad, a mixed bag in general. Never had any problems there, but I haven’t visited it often. |
70 Quite centrally located, with a big and nice beer garden that shelters you efficiently from the not too appealing ambiente of the neighbourhood and the noises coming from a busy street nearby. The house beer selection is pretty standard with the exception of the rezane, while the quality of the house beer is upper standard, especially the lovely, well hopped schwarzbier. As for food, we had a really tasty pljeskavica with kajmak cheese, a Yugoslav classic. |
80 Božidara Adžije location, which is a nice building with a large outdoor beer hall area (though it was too cold to enjoy the day I was there). Five of their own beers, available in a few sizes, and it appears now large 750ml swing-top bottles for take away. The beer is actually terrific, crowning thing to find in the Balkans. Food is Croatian pub food, nothing was particularly special but it was all decent. The huge mixed grill plate with potatoes and baked beans (which comes with a .5l beer) is actually a thing to behold, and tasty enough.
A terrific spot and must-see if in Zagreb |
76 Nice place in nice town |
62 German-style brewpub in the heart of Zagreb. The Schwarzbier was a nice addition to the otherwise standard selection. The food was good and moderately priced. |
