Owls Orchard Brewery July 7 (2016) at 12:12pm · Hello everyone, sorry to say I don’t have a picture of our beer and growler to share but rather I’m announcing our Closing of Owls Orchard Brewery. After 4 years of meeting wonderful people who visited from near and far who took a leap of faith to purchase a growler of our beer I can’t thank you enough. Cheers to life’s adventures!

So this is way way out there man. I passed a horse crossing and then a cow crossing and then straight into the citrus orchards. It was a pretty fun ride all the way down Riggs to get here. You need to call or text Marty if you plan on stopping by to make sure he’s there and that he can expect you. So you pull up to his house with the garage on the right hand side. You get out and it is quiet (aside from the cows). Cool. Marty comes out from the garage with a smile and a friendly hand shake and then proceeds to show off his set up. He has a 10 gallon Sabco system with a nice jacketed conical fermenter. He’s allowed to offer up samples and also fill growlers for a modest price. I tasted I think 4 of what he had and they were all pretty good. The Tangelo beer is made with tangelos right here on the property. You can taste the fresh fruitiness. The rye IPA was good and the wheat was solid for a straight up wheat. I had a blast talking beer with Marty and tasting a few and then heading out with a couple of growlers. Very cool set up. Homebrewer selling beer out of his garage. I enjoyed his posted licenses and such that he has to stay compliant with the county/state/fed. Keep it up Marty. Good stuff. I plan to come back again with the family in the near future.
