A pretty typical GB brewpub, though a bit hard to find, since it is situated in a court yard sorounded by buildings, but we managed. A huge indoor restaurant, but also with a huge patio, where it was well tempered for a dinner in early August around 9 PM. I had a very tasty steak with tasty vegetables on the side. The service was a bit slow to start off, but quite knowledgeable. But having been to a GB before there was only 3 new ratings for me, which was a bit of a disappointment. Prices were reasonable both for food and beer.

The food is the best thing about the place. great place to let the wife do some shopping whilst sitting on the patio drinking beer. Great beer if you like watered down crap.

Visited in the mid afternoon on a weekday. Our young, attractive waitress had a great attitude but was more friendly than knowledgable about my beer questions. We sat on the outdoor patio and soaked up the mid’70’s temps and sun (in December! WOOT!) while we had a fairly good pizza and a 6 beer sampler. That there are only 6 beers available at a time is a bit of a disappointment, but not a deal-breaker. Overall a nice place to visit once every year or two since their beers never seem to change much.

Sad to see that they didn’t have a sampler to bring out for me so I had to settle on just trying a full beer at a time. Maybe it was just the day I was there? Food prices seemed high, especially for happy hour. The wait staff was slow, but it was very busy and a weekend.

GB beers are definitely worth rating once, and at worst reliable fall backs for those of us that have had them. Most seem to like the Marzen. Decent view of the brewery from the bar, and smell of garlic from the kitchen. This place attracts a good lunch crowd for its food alone. Infact when I was there, there were about 20 people on the patio, not drinking beer. Does that say bad things about the beer or good things about the food?
