Slightly above-average beers ... with some Tabernash, too, don't forget ... in a decent atmosphere (no smoke in Longmont anymore, btw). GO TO THE LEFT HAND BREWPUB on Boston Ave. instead. They have limited hours, but the atmosphere is ten times better, and the people in there are really cool to hang out with. Nothing like drinking in the afternoon / early evening! Had too much? Take a stroll on the St. Vrain trail ... less than a mile away is the "listening" rock, where you sit in a clam-shaped rock as it harnesses the sound of the rippling St. Vrain River before your ears. OK, so I'm rambling, but it's still a worthy destination after a few pints.

Not a place I would pick; I'm not big on Left Hand brews, and there's rarely anything special available. It's conveniently located next to the Pumphouse, which makes a small "crawl" simple, but it's not a very inviting or interesting stop.

Decent beer, decent food, just a couple of doors down fm the Pumphouse, so take your pick.
