Visited on a Saturday, around 5pm. 24 taps available but only something like 12 actually on. Had gone specifically to try the bottle cap beers but could only get one. Bit disappointing.

I’m sorry, but the house brews are not good enough to sell for serious money. My advice is to get some experienced brewers in to mentor them in the process. But there are guest beers, so you could go for them. The burger given the pizza treatment was weird.

Bottle Cap is the newest addition to the ABZ beer scene. They are located literally next door to Six Degrees North and are officially Aberdeen’s first brewpub. The place was formally Aberdeen student union and in some ways the interior stills feels like it - stripped back and spartan. The place is split level with 2 bars (serving the same tap range) and the nano? brewery on the second floor. They have 24 keg lines with 4 of their house beers on both our visits. Unlike the other bars in town Bottle Cap offer some other local (ish) options including Deeside, Burnside & Lerwick, as well as good UK craft breweries like Wiper & True. Bottle selection is about 100 now with things like Wiper & True, Alechemy, BD etc. Food is very good value and provides a good cheap lunch option. Solid venue.

Latest addition to Aberdeen’s burgeoning craft beer sector. Pretty grim industrial look. Apparently their beers are brewed by a Williams brewer.
