Interesting place in the middle of the student area Vildanden, drawn by Bengt Edman and ironically inspired by a monestry. A very good selection and amazing service. The rotation of beer is however not excellent and the listing is not always up to date. Prices are very friendly. By far the best beer place in Lund, maybe in the southern of Sweden.

Visited in 2007 after an Amon Amarth gig. Thought I might as well finish the night at a good beer place as I’ve been to a great show. Did take me agood while to walk there, wasn’t that easy to find either. Was gonna have a beer or two, ended up helping the crew shutting down and even got a ride with them downtown to get another beer, most awsome and excellent service! Most surprising was that they still had a few small bottles of the Cantillon Soleil de Minuit left! Got a bottle for 200 SEK, now that’s great! Great beer selection, very nice service, cool atmosphere, but located in a student area and rather hard to find. Well worth a visit, even if it takes you out of your way! Did not try eating, but will next time.

A pub you wouldn’t find by mistake, nothing on the outside tell about what a nice pub there is. Had a bit over 100+ beers on the lists, but some were sold out. The nice thing is the prices, which are very low compared to many other Swedish places. Pizza’s were really tasty and quit big, and not expensive at all.

Pub Vildanden is tucked away under a student apartment in the west of Lund.

The place - is a spacy but reasonably cosy room with one bar, a pool table, pub decorations... There were 3 old guys drinking over the other side of the bar when we were there, it was very quiet and the music was a fantastic mix of 60s & 70s rock.

The Food - Simple, decent, cheap and filling pizzas... good selection and prompt service. Also had some bar snacks. I had a mushroom & proscuito pizza which was very good.

The Staff - The owner was the freindliest guy, and both he and the lady working there knew their beer very well.

The beer - Last but not least, the beer list at this place was incredible. Had all the westys on the menu (although they had just ran out but were expecting more) as well as all the other Trappist, Stille Nacht and a bunch of noels, Cantillon Sol de minut and a bunch of other good lambics, loads of English beers (including Tom Hardys), A few Norwegian and US beers.. Norge O, Sierra Nevada and the likes, as well as a lot of beers from other countries. There must have been at least 60 types of Belgians amd all beers were well priced for Sweden. All the beers I had were served at perfect temperature and in proper glassware.

A must visit, my only negatives were the lack of any Jamtlands, Nils Oscar, or any good Swedish or Danish beers.
