Good beer bars are hard to find in LI but this is as good as it gets. And Huntington has a decent enough downtown so its worth a weekend, summer visit I say. The interior is a mix of English Pub, sports bar, and stained glass. Lots of wood, short ceilings though, and pretty cramped actually. We sat at the bar. Small bar, maybe sits 8 people. The bar tender was well attentive and personable. The selection, well biggest pet peeve,. no prices. But biggest surprise, all taps are served in 20oz glasses, even the Brooklyn Monster. I learned the prices are not cheap, 10 for the Monster about 7 for the other ones. The tap selection is decent enough, they had the macro stuff of course but some Blue Point, 6point, and what I enjoyed, which I have not seen in LI before was a Rammstein. So I think you will find something for yourself but it wont be special. Only had fries but the rest of the food seemed good as well.

I was there last night for a few rounds with friends and we were switching every round as the Mets were giving the Yankees a tough time on the tv in the bar. The prices were very reasonable for their tap selection, which ran from a tasty Southampton Stout to cider to Fullers London Pride. I thought the service and the food were very good, despite some of the hokey English pub thing previously mentioned earlier. It’s a landmark in Huntington and a good place to start an evening of bar hopping.

A local bar that relies heavily on "ye olde pub" schtick to draw in a croud - heavy wooden doors, rustic tables and chairs and a semi-dark interior all add to its "olden times" charm - the taps contain the standard british and german imports (fuller’s, newcastle, pilsner urquell, etc.), plus a decent selection of local craft beer (southampton, bluepoint, brooklyn) - they also have a house beer (canterbury ale) brewed by a "local" brewery, but I don’t know which - it’s a decent british pale ale that I’d probably give a 3.4 - not that great of a beer bar, but good for getting a handful of local draught beer in one place.
