Visited this spot on my last trip to NYC. The ambiance is great (well, depending on the weather, it can be). Just nice and chill with lots of folks chilling and chatting. Brews are better than any other parking lot I’ve been to. There’s a beer from Brooklyn that’s only available here (although I suspect it will end up at some of the Brooklyn events eventually), but I can see the draw of this place, even if it isn’t a beer destination per se.

This is not really a craft brew bar, but I wanted to mention it because of its phenomenal popularity. It is located next to a roller skating rink at the northern terminus of High Line Park in Manhattan, and it is run by the Colicchio Restaurant people. They serve a few local craft brews in plastic cups, and you can buy food from a few high end food trucks serving lobster rolls, Korean tacos, and pizza (on the night I was there). A lot of people seem to like this place, and it is fun for an outdoor hang on a warm night. At closing time, the staff promptly kicks everybody out, whether you are still drinking or eating, whatever. It was fun to take a look at it, but I am not in a hurry to go back.
