64 Nothing going on here imagery wise. Service is average. Never really talked to the owner nor did he go out of his way to accommodate. Quite a broad selection. |
46 Not a bad little store. had a large selection. Nothing real special here and they seemed to want to push certain beers off on you. Didnt buy to much here because i dont really care for pushy people. |
8 drove all they way from wake forest and it was closed for the week. i’ll update my reveiw once i get out there again |
82 Awesome place...I go there once a week. I have tried many beers there. They always seem to have something new. The selection is much larger at Total Wine a few miles away, but this place is smaller and more convenient for me at least. Plus the beer tastings as of late have been good. I’d like to see more people visit this store. |
74 This place would be a lot nicer if they would just do a little bit with the environment. Its really open and it feels sort of like a warehouse only crammed into a small space. If they had some new shelves and something on the walls it would feel a lot better. The guy at the counter was really nice and friendly once we checked out. Need more of a singles and fridge section. As expensive as some of those six packs can get I am much more inclined to buy a single of it to see if I like it. |
86 I’ve been going on a fairly regular basis since they opened. They now have 6 taps and can truly say "No Crap on Tap" and fairly large selection in the cold box that you can buy. One of the few places that I know of where you can "Sip and Shop". Samples of aany tap beer for a buck and the Friday and Saturday samplings are a great chance to try a new brew before you buy it. Just wish that they would do web updates to announce what they have scheduled for each week. I usually call to find out. Although not indicated currently, they do share a patio area with The Barbecue Joint so you can enjoy a great brew and’cue as weather permits. They do stock some "bottle conditioned" real ales and have a small supply of "proper glassware" for purchase. They also have a couple of "small" TVs for those who want to see the big game but had rather drink and shop for beer. |
68 Visited Oct 06. Hard to find place, even with a map...hidden in a tiny strip mall in the middle of a fairly rural section of north Chapel Hill. Can’t really see it from the road. Hard to imagine them staying in business out there, but I certainly hope they can. Anyways, the selection is pretty good with plenty of imports and micros alike. Not as large a selection as Sam’s, but this is a better-kept store (cleaner, etc.). Worth visiting. |
74 Very Nice selection. Guy working was laid back and knowledgeable and doesn’t disturb you unless you ask for assistance. Next time I want to stay long enough to try some of the taps in back. |
70 Off Weaver Dairy Rd, adjacent to The Barbeque Joint which has some of the best bqq and southern food in NC(check it out too), near East Chapel Hill School. Great selection. Nice selections of locals, domestics, and imports. Ambiance loses a lot of points--store just seems very dead. Maybe some music would help. Has a little bar with four tasty taps in the back with a patio. I feel like this place could be very nice if touched up upon. It is what it is. |
74 Swung by on a thursday afternoon. It’s kind of hidden, first by trees that hide the plaza and second by the fact thast it’s in the back of the plaza. Once you get here it’s a great store. New plaza. small store in the scheme of things. Guys said hi, but I did have to engage them to get them talking. Lots of Imports, more than domestics it looked like.A six tap bar in the back area. Looked like good prices, though my main reference point is Massachusetts right now. Well worth a visit if your near the area. Yeah, I’ll take some of that stuff that TLP was smoking too! |
