86 Fantastic place for an out of towner and locals alike. Huge beer selection tucked into a unsuspecting building. Literally had 5-6 aisles of beer mostly singles. I easily dropped $300 and didn't even realize it until check out and could have spent a whole lot more. Prices were okay for the area. Shopped on a Sunday as well and certain things were unavailable to be purchased. Not their fault just stupid Ohio laws. I will definitely return. Might be the best selection in SW Ohio. Even tops Jungle Jims in terms of selection, just not as "cool". |
92 Shelf after shelf of singles, grouped by continent, or by style, or by region. A little deciphering is needed, but who cares? All those (literally 300+) singles. Prices seem competitive, although, I didn’t see any bargains. I quickly filled a case (24) with singles I don’t see in NKY, and could have filled two more, but my friends were patiently waiting, so not enough time. This place is the real deal, and I’ll be back. |
60 Small space in a strip mall. Very confined area to move around. Shelves are very close together and I found it hard to navigate without constantly bumping into someone. Saw a lot of dusty bottles, and overheard one of the workers helping someone find a sour beer - with no avail. New releases were hard to find. Okay I guess. |
82 Quite impressive selection of local brews, all available by the single bottle, which is a huge plus. Lots of Belgian and English beers too. I voted with my wallet and Spent a ton of money on 20+ beers. |
82 Belmont Party Supply is located on South Smithville Road in the Belmont area of southeast of Dayton. There is a parking lot in front of the building. The right entrance is for brewing and winemaking supplies. The left entrance opens to the store, which is brightly lit and sort of cramped in a convenience store way, with the beer being mostly in the rear on shelves and in coolers, but it is stocked in other places too. There is a section of singles facing the coolers. The beer selection here numbers in the hundreds, with a lot of Ohio breweries represented like Hoppin’ Frog, Great Lakes, Jackie O’s, Thirsty Dog and Brew Kettle. Many other domestic craft breweries and imports as well. Service on a Friday late afternoon was decent. Checkout was friendly and I was acknowledged while I was shopping. Overall this is a solid store to visit in the Dayton area. |
88 Can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Once I started on ratebeer, this was always one of the best places to go. They have gone through a couple excellent beer buyers, but always kept a great selection. worth stopping by. |

86 A pretty great store overall. It easily has the most beer in one location in Dayton. It is kind of crammed, the clerks a bit redneck, and sometimes its not the cheapest; but you will always find something worth buying |
88 excellent service very knowledge on all types of beer. |
