Lovely modern but old-style cafe-restaurant based firmly on its massive, excellent value buffet. Lots of wooden fixtures and a good atmosphere. Part of the 8-bar Lido chain. Beers from Uzavas, Lido and one others. Infinitely better than the 1970s UK pub up the way.

Deeply fake rustic-looking restaurant in the Lido chain, with waitresses in pseudo-peasant costumes. Buffet-style food. Two own beers and one other Latvian beer. Not really very interesting.

Nichols place in the old centre of riga. Lots of wood. Food quite decent with some decent draft Latvia beers

Homey, caféteria-style restaurant with near-kitsch wooden interior. Fairly spacious, good for bigger parties. Food is canteen/caféteria style and has a wide daily selection of salads, sides, mains, soups, bread and desserts, all reasonably priced - you can get a totally decent three-course meal here for under 10 EUR. House beers are from the Lido chain which means above average for Latvian; IMHO the Medus (honey) beer is the best. Also some beers from other smaller local breweries plus some bottles.

Atmospheric place with friendly and efficient service. Beers are OK. Very cheap. Good stop while in Riga.

Quite a small place, lots of people around because you can have a nice lunch and famous Lido beer there, good value. Great atmosphere and overall style.

The most central Lido restaurant in Riga. Nice wooden interior and cosy atmosphere. Can be rather crowded with tourists , but their LIDO beers are worth trying. If you are not hungry, you can skip the buffet and head for the bar. (Visited May 1st 2011)
