Stopped in on a Friday early afternoon after hitting up goose island next door. As you walk in, you immediately see the beer selection. There’s probably five or six aisles of beer with coolers on the back wall. The pricing seemed high, but they did give case discounts. I found a bottle I had been looking for for awhile so i grabbed that. The staff all seemed very knowledgeable.

Binny’s is located in the Clybourn area of downtown Chicago on North Marcey. There is a large parking lot in front of the store, as well as street parking in the immediate area.
The interior is large and well-lit, similar to pretty much any other cavernous liquor store. Maybe a little more sterile looking than Total Wine or Bevmo, but not entirely devoid of character. The beer is toward the left side both on shelves and in coolers around the perimeter. One of the shelves is devoted to mixed sixers.
The bottle selection counts not in the hundreds but apparently in the thousands! Incredible array of breweries are represented, more or less by geography from what I could see. Domestic craft breweries like Revolution, Goose Island, Pipeworks, Half Acre, Lost Abbey and Surly, as well as many imports.
Service is pretty typical for these types of stores. I was asked if I needed help finding anything, and checkout was friendly.
Overall this is a great store to visit in downtown Chicago, and being right across the street from Goose Island is an added bonus.

Excellent beer selection with a well-knowledged staff - I have no hesitations asking for recommendations here - is there much more to be said? It is laid out like a warehouse, so nothing particularly noteworthy there, but that’s probably the only downside

I stood in line during the Black Friday event on 29 November 2013. Other than waiting in line for BCS, I have to say this is an impressive store. They are currently under construction to increase the size of the building which is already enormous. So needless to say the beer, wine and hard spirits selection is amazing.
They also have a really great manager named Adam. Adam you did an awesome job with the Bourbon Country raffle, Thanks for the great organization! Really nice job handing the mob of people wanting to hear their raffle ticket getting called. Top Notch!

Ambiance is basically a big giant grocery store of liquor, wine, and beer. Pretthy huge. Employees were willing to help and packaged my stuff really well. Selection is pretty freaking awesome for an out of towner with tons and tons of great singles. Prices were on par to what i’ve seen other places around. Overall a great stop if by GI clybourne.

Stopped in when we went to GI Clybourn around the corner. Seemed like Binnys in the South Loop. Seemed like they had a bunch of different bottles. super selection and decent prices. Easy stop if around.

This huge liquor store has one of the best selections in the city, including bottle shops. Their prices are also cheaper than nearly everywhere else. (Usually $2 less a 6 pack vs Whole Foods). Even though this is a chain, the beer staff gives it a small store feel. Adam, the beer director, is a great guy and has recently done a collaboration with Pipeworks.

Stopped in on the way home from DLD 2013. Nice selection and stacked on the shelves decently. Was impressed by the number of Chicago beers. Overall, a good stop and will visit again when in the area.
