86 More space than SC Burger and more seats at the bar. More cozy even though they lack the pizza oven at SC. Fun food. Sports on the big screens. Thoughtfully curated taplist, something for everyone. Doesn’t have the full cocktail bar like SC but all the same it doesn’t get it’s due. In my opinion just as worthy as Aptos BBQ with better ambience, better prices and bigger portions. |
78 This place is pretty much like the Santa Cruz location in terms of how it’s set up/how you get your booze and food. Tap list is similar in terms of variety, pricing, breweries, etc. Mostly California beers, but some interesting stuff from Dogfish Head (stupidly ordered their pear, tea pilsner), and some imported beers. They weren’t terribly busy when I stopped in since it was pretty close to opening time, so I was able to relax and sit while I ticked my poor beer choice. As a result, the service was also much better than what I experienced in the Santa Cruz location, but hard to say if that’s the rule or the exception. Worth a stop, but I think Aptos St. BBQ may be the better choice. |

Very similar food and beer menu to the original location in Santa Cruz just up the way. They have a pretty good tap list. They have quite a few taps and bottles including some local stuff like El Toro, Ale Industries, Drakes, and Bear Republic. Most of the rest of the taps are from California as well with a few Belgians mixed in. The food menu is nice in that it allows you to customize your burger quite a bit. You have to pay for that privilege though. The big difference between the two locations is that this one is a bit more cozy and not over run all the time. Right now they have some Christmas decorations up. How many bars have a Christmas tree? Worthy stop. |
76 The second burger. location. Same theme, tons of taps, mostly devoted to regional beers. Good burgers. Always busy. Good service. Go there. |
