Went there with my wife around lunch time. Nice place. Located at the back of the big music temple Melkweg. Not to special beers on the list, but the usual Belgians. But when asking the owner, more interesting stuff was available as well. Very friendly staff. Lunchwas ok, but not too special.

Extremely good food. Some odd German beers on bottle along with mainstream Belgian stuff. Very friendly, and dedicated owner!

I was surprised to not see this listed so I added it. This is in the restaurant cafe bar of the Melkweg Amsterdam. Its not just a restaurant and proprietor Erik Tunison runs the bar and always has an interesting seasonal beer on draft which he changes on a regular basis. The draft beers are mostly Belgian, Dutch and German. They also have a range of bottle beers with many special beers that are not on the menu, you need to ask Eric and he may produce some gems from his collection in the cellar. I once drank Westvleteren and have had many exotic Belgian brews. Jo cooks up great value home food in the kitchen and there’s always a special cake. This place is bang in the middle of the Leidesaplein and us a handy stop off before catching a concert or show.
