Fairly small and crowded bar. A bit divey, perhaps. Pretty standard draft list, though they do have a house beer which I was told was brewed at Sudwerk (and seems to be confirmed by the listing here on RateBeer). Interesting... Prices are halfway decent, for San Francisco, anyway. Probably wouldn’t come back here unless this was a local place for me to just get a beer and hang out.

Interesting place. Fairly busy and noisy and located on a main street (16th) but there really wasnt anything special about this place, except the taps claiming to be house brews. Didnt try one so who knows what they are. Will have to stop in again and inquire the next time I get off BART at 16th/Mission.

Service was nice even if she was a bit overworked. Prices are average. The only reason it’s not completely forgettable is that they have these house beers. Need to investigate.

Your local dive bar in The Mission district of SF. It’s been a couple other places over the years but seems to be the same. It’s a old bar. Cozy and a great place to fill up with some friends. Their selection is typical About 8-12 taps and the same on bottles. More of a liquor bar.

Visited after seeing that the line at Monk’s Kettle was ridiculously long. This place is a hidden gem with a good crowd. Decent beer selection and they consistently served the beer in the correct glass. Bartender was very knowledgeable and also helpful with my girlfriend when trying to decide what to order. After several rounds of beer the tab was reasonable. Recommend this place highly if you see that Monk’s Kettle is packed as it is literally just one block away.

More like a neighborhood bar than a beer pub. Few things worth drinking aside from your basics like Guiness. Decent guy behind the bar.

Building has been around since 1858 with pubs in this neighborhood corner bar. 8-10 taps of Bass, Guiness, Old Speckled Hen, etc. nothing cutting edge except they have Snake Oil IPA made for them by Sudwerk: Rich, oily hios, big bitter finish.
