Re-opened and now (April 2022) called Gasthaus zum Lamm. Serves Nothelfer Trunk beers now. (This place has closed and afterwards been turned into a home for underage refugees. (http://www.infranken.de/regional/lichtenfels/ebensfeld-gasthof-neuner-wird-heim-fuer-minderjaehrige-fluechtlinge;art220,1546390). Visited July 2013. This restaurant/bar is right across from the Ebensfelder brewery tap. It used to be a brewery itself as you can see the old smoke/steam stacks out back. (The ashtray read ’Brauerei Neuner, Ebensfeld’). As well as a full range of Weismainer beers, they were rotating local beers Hetzel Frauendorfer Landbier and one from Reblitz of Nedersdorf. I tried the house soup which was more like a stew and good value despite the rather small portion. Be warned that without a map you might have a hard time finding this place from the rail station. Don’t follow the road signs like I did, as these are for autos and not pedestrians.)

on the main street through Ebensfeld, directly across the street from zum Schwan (which wasn’t open this day). Reblitz Bock and Reblitz Landbier on tap (from the brewery 11 km away), along with Weismainer (Puls-Brau) Helles and Pils. bottles of Weismainer weisse and dunkles kellerbier. fried carp on the menu card. old lady locals drinking bock bier with carp was fitting. most tables had reservations, we were booted from the stammtisch when the locals arrived for their nightly mug.
