This is a really nice restaurant serving innovative southern style cuisine. When we visited on a busy Wednesday evening the ambience, service and food were all excellent. Regarding beer - there are about a dozen or so taps plus many more bottles of local brews. All up a good place for a feed and a drink.

More restaurant then a bar. Limited selection on taps and very wide in bottles. We’ve taken only starters but they were really good. Very pleasant and competent staff. Nice place, worth to visit.

My last stop of the night and I’m kind of glad it was this place. It’s not on a main street, but in a bit of an alley off of Grant. You’ll be seeing high end shops all around you and then just duck into the little alley and walk to the end.

The restaurant isn’t terribly big and the beer list matches that. Less than ten beers on tap here. Some pretty good stuff, though. On my trip the highlights were Alpine Nelson and Bear Republic Tartare Rouge, though I opted for the new North Coast Puck saison. Drank pretty good, but all the beers are a bit on the expensive side.

The food here is the main attraction. Sort of a Southeastern US themed menu, which the name should imply. You’ll pay $15 for a burger and most entrees are $20-$25, but the food is quite good. I went with the pork belly and was very satisfied with that choice.

This is certainly a good spot for a meal, but it’s not really a beer destination.

Decent place for a late night beer. Had about 8 taps that were not bad but not great. Close to my hotel and good service. We did not eat.

Very neat place in the back of an alley. Outside (in the alley) is kind of a lounge with some picnic tables and people wandering around and mingling. Inside is a bit noisier and busier, though the service was quite friendly and attentive. Prices were pretty high unfortunately (2 glasses were $18 before tip).

The beer list was interesting and actually pretty good. We ordered glasses of Cuvee de Tomme and Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especiale and got a taste of the Heretic Miscreant. Also some other decent beers available as well. Fairly well rounded list over all for only have a dozen or so taps.

Might stop back in for the atmosphere but I’d probably scroll past as a beer destination due mostly to the prices.

Cool spot that satisfied a sudden urge for craft beer while in that area. Fairly limited beer selection (less than a dozen taps) as compared to their whiskey selection of over 30 labels. Beer was over priced as was the food, which was at least good, but not worth what their charging. I’m glad I checked it out, and I doubt I’ll ever go back again. There are far better places to eat and drink in the city for the same or less money.

Although this is a restaurant, the beer bar portion is quite excellent for the neighborhood (Downtown/FiDi/Union Square), which previously had a void of good beer bars. The taps seem to rotate very fast, while I was there they changed 2 taps. The beer selection is mostly unique offerings with a couple of selections that are easy to find elsewhere. I think there are 9 taps, I forgot to count. Prices are not the most expensive in San Francisco but also not the cheapest. Given the prices of the food, this is actually quite refreshing. I really enjoyed the food, especially the fried chicken, but plates are around $20. The wait staff had average knowledge of craft beer but if you’re a beer geek, you will know more than them. I think the bartender was a little more knowledgeable about the beer but I didn’t test this assertion. For a restaurant, the ambiance was great. The bar area was what you would expect from a restaurant bar but I would feel perfectly comfortable going in just for a beer and not food. They have a TV so if you need a place to go to have a good beer and watch the "big game" then this place will work. The kitchen closes at 10pm but the bar stays open later depending on the crowd.
