Well, what can I say. You know itís not going to be your normal brewpub experience when they have three guys in the parking lot guiding you into parking spaces. You first pass the pizza place on your right, then the brewery on the left, with dozens of picnic tables scattered under live oak trees (they have the word "live" in the name so that you can tell that they are). The selection inside was the same as the selection at a small outside bar under a tree, with the exception of a special cask at each. You can buy bottles to take away or to drink there, and the half dozen beers they had on were all very tasty. Live music as well, a two person country band. Very nice way to spend the day, at least in good weather. Iím not sure what theyíd do in bad weather, put people in the brewery itself maybe. Awesome place.

What an awesome place. Nice ranch, great outdoors, beautiful weather, music, pizza and then there is the beer. Jester King have found their unique style between Belgian farmhouse ales with a Texas twist. Thanks for the tour and the sampling of the brews.

A farm like setting that is huge and very welcoming to families and dogs. Tons of beers from themselves, from bottles and bunches of taps. Food is pizza and is pretty good. Couple of problems with this place, middle of nowhere and very crowded so slow service. A must though.

Stopped in here on a friday and boy is it gorgeous. Big wide open spaces, plenty of tables and a relaxing atmosphere. The rustic buildings and views of hill country are quite cool. Everyone was pleasant. They only had 4-5 of their beers on tap but they have more in bottles. Pricing ,especially half pours was quite reasonable. I could easily spend an entire afternoon relaxing here.

Was really looking forward to checking out Jester Kingís new taproom having heard such amazing things about it. When you first drive up it is really impressive. Huge barn/brewery on the left and a large pavilion off to the left, connected to the pizza shop. Walking up to the brewery it really strikes you how beautiful the setting really is. Lots of stone, trees and picnic tables scattered amongst them. All of this lends itself to making an incredible atmosphere to drink beers in. We grabbed a table in the shade and just enjoyed the natural environment. Some of the other people should really learn to control their kids as they were really hurting others enjoyment but we tried not to let that bother us to much. Quality was quite high. As I said earlier the space is amazing while the beers are served in nice wine glasses. Service was solid all around, the initial wait was a bit much since they didnít really have a defined line and people just kept walking past us to make their own. Selection was great, both in house and to go. I love that they post the menuís on their website so I could plan out a few of the beers I was looking to try. I didnít try the food as I was still full from my Franklin BBQ lunch, humble brag, so I didnít try the pizza but from what I saw it looked excellent. Prices were more than reasonable, both the drafts and bottles to go. Overall an absolutely amazing place to have a beer, especially theirs. I would love to have this place around me. I will definitely return the next time I am in Austin.

In the middle of nowhere, certainly for a city boy like me, lies Jester King. Clearly that name is known well beyond its unexpecting locality. Visiting is more of a beer pilgrimage rather than checking off another famous brewery from the must-visit list. And when I say famous, I mean in the dorky, nerdy kind of sense, as in many ways this group of men on a mission can hardly be found even in the beery underworld of nearby Austin. Its name popping up, but its beers being kept a bit elusive. Moderate production levels are certainly one reason, but perhaps more so the undisturbed focus on the refined, subtile, time-consuming and the classic European farmhouse methods. Post-modern against the grain, because its not the extreme experimentation that rules here, but the patience and understanding. It takes balls to do so, and even makes me jealous. In some respects this place could be improved, but it shouldnít. Itís already almost too perfect. It should be time and work and chance that makes this place better instead of management and control, just like their beers.

Visited on a trip to Austin - very very cold when I arrived, but things were in full swing in the tasting room. I just missed the last tour, but bellied up to the bar and enjoyed four ounce pours of several of their beers. They also feature a fairly extensive bottle list, their own and others. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was friendly, and they had some great stuff for sale to-go. It doesnt get much better! Oh, there is no food, but there is this pizza place about 20 yards down the hill that makes some pretty tasty za, and the folks at JK have no problems if you bring them inside.

Stopped by on a Friday. Quite the trek out of town, but worth it. What an absolutely drop dead gorgeous brewery!! Stunningly beautiful, with very friendly and passionate people. Great beers (both house, guest taps, and bottles to go), and the pizza place attached also looks very promising. Beyond all that, the ethos of this place and their drive to improve beer culture and laws in Texas is really special. Iím already looking forward to returning in February!!
