First let me say that being from Pgh, I found the lack of street signs in Lowell quite agravating and annoying. Even with a GPS, I drove around trying to find this palce and leave this place for an hour. Also the parking is so weird. Thye spots are numberred and you can’t figure out what the keyosk is saying. After I dicked around with the keyosk for a whaile and got inside, the bartender told nme to just park in the parking lot marked ’do not park here for you’ll be towed’ lot. Once I got over the traffic and parking thing, was pretty nice nsde. They had over 18 beers to choose from and the bertender served up some pretty good samplers. This calmed me down until it was time to leave and I got anxious again about driving aroun in Lowell. Evident this is a college town and you are supposed to walk up to this place. Had some food at a later visit with the family, not bad but a little expensive.

Typical pub offerings. Food was good, beer was OK. Service was good.

Great beer selection. Food was decent, wings were pretty solid but nachos were bad. Not a tremendous value. But friendly service and solid beer selection more than makes up for it.

Went here last night after cutting some trees at the folks house. Parking is kind of funny, there are a few spots on the street in front of the place, a parking garage around the corner and apparently you can park in the lot across the street as well. The front entrance has a good sized patio with maybe 25 tables for outdoor seating. A grand entrance welcomes you in with at great looking bar 30 feet in front of you. Hostess station to the left as well as a cooler with beer to go in growlers and six packs. We were here fairly early for dinner and were promptly seated to the dining room off to the right of the bar. Several dozen tables and booths seem like they could hold a good sized crowd. The brewery is in the far right wall behind glass. The menu is mainly pub food and everyone at our table though it was good but not great. Our waitress was attentive, but seemed forgetful. She forgot a round of beers once and we waited almost a half an hour for dessert to arrive. They have probably a dozen beers on tap most lighter styles with a couple of bigger beers like a Imperial ESB, double pale ale, Imperial Pilsner, IPA I enjoyed the schwartzbier and the IPA, the nut brown and dry stout were meh. I would go back if I was in the area, but wouldn’t make a special trip.

Pretty good beers. I had a monster burger there that was pretty good but other food has been only OK. Tends to be on the expensive side.

Quite an enjoyable place, very large and expansive, although a bit coldish given the place was empty (around 2PM). I like the BW concept of monthly special menu (Belgian inspired in Jan 2010)...I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes, delicious). The beers were all solid. Shall return if on my way.

Typical Beer Woks set up. Huge bar with a franchise Atmosphere, lots of steel, stainless, everything is just too clean. Large selection, there was 14 housebrews on tap when I was there. Beer Works makes ok beer. The beers are well brewed but most of them tend to be on the sweet and/or bland side of things. But there always have one or two that are pretty nice. America loves sweet. I didn’t eat there but you can expect the typical Beer Works pub fare menu. Crowd is families, older lonely dudes watching the game, gang of younger dudes partying, just about anybody. Lowell locals seem friendly, we actually made friends with a few local beer passionate. Not worth a detour but if you happen to be in Lowell the large tap selection will keep you coming back.

I like this place. It’s part of the beer works chain based out of Boston. Has a nice selection of home brews. At night time this place turns into a night club that’s a little bit more upscale for the Lowell area. It’s actually a lot of fun then and the crown is all about having a good time. If you’re in the are, check it out.
