A really great bottle shop which has an excellent range of Australian craft beers, including the best selection of South Australian brews I’m aware of. If you are into wine it is also a superb place to pick up some more obscure labels.

Nice little wine shop feel. Quite welcoming and warm. Good service on the phone. Asked a few questions before going out there and got really solid answers and help. Not a huge selection but a well made selection. Some good UK beers as well as US and Australia. Prices are pretty standard for Australia. Though a bit cheaper than Sydney pricing so was able to focus a bit more on the local fare which is nice. Good shop with some nice hidden gems. Not saying what they are though. Worth the visit

Becoming a favourite of mine. Range of beers is big, but not huge. Prices are good, especially for North Adelaide, but buying foreign beer in Australia is always expensive. The guy that owns the place is so friendly and nice, he has given me free beer glasses in the past. I love branded beer glasses.

While they might have picked up 2011 Beer & Brewer Magazines best beer bottle shop the range came as a bit of a shop, being much smaller then I expected and somewhat tucked away in the corner. A good range of wine and better then most, but not the best range of beers I’ve seen in SA. Knowledgable and friendly staff though, a good store for beers north of the city.

Winner of 2011 Beer & Brewer Magazine best beer bottle shop. Is one of the greatest wine shops around, and now one of the best beer shops I have seen in South Australia, (given their 10cent bottle deposits, the range of Beers is smaller in South Australia). Lots of micro beers from Australia, and the only shop I have seen a lot of the rare imports, esp. English beers. I found Eddie and Ben to Most knowledgeable and helpful. John is a fan of dark beers, the Japanese Hitachino coffee stout he put me on to is incredible.

A poor beer selection and was horrified to see only the Coopers range available of all the SA micros now putting themselves out there with quality beers (although as Oslo mentioned you will find the Thorogoods range in this store). A few German and Belgian imports and a limited selection of others. Of course the main focus is wine as that’s what the store specialise in and they do have an extensive range of great wine if that’s your thing (ask the staff about any limited batches of wild fermented wines they may currently stock).
