Pretty redneck bar that happens to serve (bad) craft beer. They had 6 year-rounds on tap, plus 4 seasonals when I went. They do flights of 8 for $18 or so. The beer quality ranged from terrible to barely passable. Service is friendly. Only go if you desperately need some WV ticks. Otherwise, why would you come here?

I stopped by this brewpub on my way to Maryland. Seems like a great local hangout. The service was excellent, and everyone inside, patrons included, were very friendly. About 11 house beers on tap, which ranged from OK to impressive. I made a real mistake eating before stopping by, everyone I’ve spoken to says the food is amazing, and it looked the part from what I saw. Reasonable prices, too. A cool place that I’m glad I stopped at. Would stop again -- next time, for lunch.

This brewpub is housed in an old building, in what is likely the middle of town, where the staff knows everyone, except us tourists. We quietly sampled the house drafts while our food was prepared nearby. The drafts were good, with a couple being quite nice. Our food was hot, fresh, and there was plenty of it. It is your own fault if you leave here hungry or thirsty.

The staff at this place knew everyone’s name except ours, but that didn’t stop us from getting really good service. No one else paid for their meals or beers, though - they seemed to just have accounts. We had to pay. I think it’s great to see a place cater to its locals so well, but also treat visitors well. The beers were fine, the food was good, and the portins were massive. The small fries or small onion rings could feed a family of four. Worth a stop.

The place itself is large with many doors to confuse you into getting in, as is the street layout of Parkersburg. They have 6 standard beers with room for seasonals. The food is strictly bar items with wings, poppers and anything fried on the menu for appetizers. The rest of the menu is mainly sandwiches from burgers, sausages, and chicken. Prices are very reasonable, except for the growlers which seem steep at $20. I like that they have separate rooms to keep the noise down or at least localized and the seating seems logical. A proper dive bar.

Great local brewpub - nice bar ambience and local character. Food is excellent pub fare (the fries are an A+). NET brews are decent, and service is friendly and folksy.

Visited for lunch on a Tuesday. The place has a corner bar feel to it, though it is certainly built out to handle a large restaurant crowd. Seating is at the bar, or throughout two rooms at booths and tables. I sat at the bar and ordered the sampler (8 beers), as well as a Reuben. The Reuben was really good, quite fresh and the perfect amount of salt. The sampler was served in plastic oversized shot glasses, which was kind of a bummer. Service at the bar was good, both folks who helped me really new a lot about the the place and the beers. I had a fun time.

A pretty good brewpub in West Virginia. It is a small, cozy place with not too much seating. They do have TVs. Someone (the manager?) thought it was a good idea to turn off all the lights and just let in ambient light on a Sunday afternoon which was a bit odd because it was pretty dim inside. They had about 6-7 beers on tap, 1 seasonal I think (a double IPA). The beers I tried were pretty good. The food is greasy but good (got a Philly chicken cheesesteak). Definitely a fun stop and the beer is good too. Worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Stopped by around lunchtime. They have dedicated parking which is nice as the roads around there are a zoo. Neighborhood sports bar feel. No one was really eating there but they had a ton of carryout orders. Locals must down these burgers by the dozen. had a burger which was not the best quality but was tasty enough. The employees were quite ncie. Some earlier raters stated they have no sampler... they have changed this policy and so I was able to try a sampler of all 7 beers on tap plus the root beer. The beers were all fairly average in quality with a couple above average.

Visited in December 2010 on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t too busy and everyone was very friendly. They have a nice selection of their own beers as well as a few macros. Decent food. Prices are quite low. I sampled just about all of the beers on tap and took home a growler. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
