76 Old Orcutt’s crown jewel, if there is such a thing. A retired cop owns the place and brews their beer. Nice dude. His staff are usually pretty on the ball. Fairly knowledgeable and definitely helpful and competent. Day time is accommodating with plenty of seats. Late night, this place can get a little crazy. Beer selection is better than average. Probably six beers of their own on tap at any given time. Ten or more guest beers on tap. More bottles. Nice atmosphere. Floor plan was well-designed. It definitely has an Irish pub feel. Not a bad joint at all. |
60 Brewpub located in what I guess is downtown Orcutt? Irish motif with the typical Guinness on tap and some local guest beers from Figueroa Mountain, Firestone, etc. as well as some Bud/Coors and their own house beers. The house beers are all pretty watery and subpar. Mostly a locals hangout and off the beaten path for a beer traveler. |
70 Visited twice in 2010, once shortly after opening and once on the way up to the yay for christmas. The second time there was a line out the door and out to the street so I peed next to the building and continued up 101.
Pretty large building with a good sized brew system. The brewer/owner told me that he was looking to expand too since he was selling all his beer in house. They also have plenty of guest taps including the usuals (Stone, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, etc). Didnt eat nor did I even look at the menu, so no comment there. They stay busy and the service was good. Wouldnt mind stopping by for some ticks if on my way through but Orcutt isnt much of a beer destination for me. |
