Couple of pints with Dickinson in here on a Monday night. Nice comfortable pub, relaxed atmosphere but still busy. Service was friendly enough, bar snacks decently tasty and well priced, didn’t try the full menu downstairs. Good beer selection, 4 or 5 casks and several kegs, lagers and bottles. If there are 40 places better than this to drink beer then Edinburgh is a good beer city.

3 July 2012. 5 cask ales and 15 keg beers. Lots of Whisky as well. Nice little pub just off of the west end. Patrons are mainly professionals. Nice little place

Graet place and choice of beers. You can get a coucht more often than not

This is a rugby pub with an excellent atmosphere. It’s cosy with just enough room to squeeze past your fellow-drinker. There is a fair proportion of good ale drunk here, with some steady favourites. They could alternate a bit quicker but it’s probably the case that they’ve found half a dozen that are really popular and they’re sticking with it. Didn’t try food!
