This is the best beer store in Westchester and beyond. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 TeamTrappist (21) jericho, New York | January 14, 2012 Happened on to this new beer store.Very nice appearance with brand new wooden shelves lined with singles on one side of the store, the other side of the store had food items, cheese, bbq sauces and more. From what I read this was a wine shop that was split in half to create two stores, and it has the feel of a wine shop. I did not really explore the food as I was in a hurry, but the appearance of it all is on high end. In the rear of the store is a growler filling station that is equipped with a Pegas system designed to pressure pack the liquid. Looked very cool, although my fill was not to the top, although to be fair, I have a 67 oz growler.Decent selection on tap, Founders, Alpha Dog, Capt Lawrence and more. There was a fairly vast bottle selection, and although the make your own six pack idea is a good one, it gets quite expensive. The selection was adequate but nothing rare that would blow away a beer geek. But the truth is, it’s a new store, in a new market, and you have to bring people along slowly. Staff was friendly and seemed well informed, and interested in beer. |
