The Trapp Door Gastropub (Formerly Tap & Table)

Pretty small place with nothing but candle light. It was nice but I like to able to see the menu. Just about everything I ordered on the menu they didn’t have. After the 4th attempt to order something I just asked what they do have. Prices are pretty damn high to for there beers but the selection isn’t bad at. I’ll also add that the place has no AC so if you go there on a hot sunny day be ready to sweat your ass off. Wouldn’t be bad with a fan but then the candles would be blown out. Lame

Not much to look at from the outside - kind of resembles a biker bar - but don’t be fooled. Really nice atmosphere on the inside with vaulted ceilings and candlelighting. Really large bar area, limited seating for dining. Attended a Grateful Dead tribute night with a 2-man acoustic band, which was fun but crowded. Food was good, but overpriced. Really nice beer selection. Loved the 3 hand pumps (although I agree with another poster that they were too cold) along with 6 rotating taps. Pretty extensive draft list that was well organized by style. Biggest complaint was the price. Maybe 15% were spot on, the rest seemed to be way over priced! Most of my beer drinking is in Philly and this place seemed very expensive to me.

Great selection of bottles, 6 regular taps and the biggest surprise was 3 cask hand pumps. Fantastic food, and unique atmosphere reminding one of an old tavern from 500 years ago.

Candlelight surrounds the entire rest/bar. Small place but great atmosphere. Small tap selection and the cask beers were served too cold. Overall great selection of beers available in bottles - some prices too high but understandable due to the rarity of finding those beers around. Food was excellent. Look forward to the next trip out.
