66 Quick evening stop, primarily to tick a new "brewery." Looks and feels like a straight bar, including a bouncer. Kind of dark inside, large bar, pool tables a back room for private functions. Tap list is decent, with three or four house beers that are now brewed at Queen City. Not much to say otherwise. |
50 Glad to see this changed to "taproom" as that is what this place is. Three Needs no longer brews their own beer. I believe 3 beers are continued to be brewed by Queen City and in turn, Three Needs keeps some Queen City on tap. Some other micros (VT), (NY) and (NH) can be seen showing up here along with some macros and ciders now. |
66 Don’t go here on a Friday night. I got carded @ the door, no three needs beers on tap, most people drinking mixed cocktails. very college feel almost like everyone there was just looking to get laid. I had a beer and left. Not sure I’d gob ack and it’s a shame cause it still says brewery on the door but they don’t brew anymore. |
64 Stopped in for a few beers. Was disappointed to find out 3 Needs no longer brews beer. Ambiance was nice, but definitely had a college hang out feel. Beer selection was nothing special, especially for the overpriced pints. Service was good. Not a place I'd stop at again though. And good luck trying to get a table to play pool!! |
76 Une vrai taverne pour écouté une bonne parti de hockey de bout en sirotant une concoction maison ou une bonne micro. La table de pool semblait avoir quelques problèmes. Une ambiance de choix. |
60 College joint ? Like in past mentioned they have plenty of "brewpub" signage but you wont find their beer on tap. Beer list was just above average from typical sports / college bar. Skip it for much better spots around. |
48 This is a big collage hangout. So you got to keep that in mind from the get go. What made my buddies and I upset was having to wait outside in the freezing cold by the “Door Guy” The “Door Guy” gave us some stupid speech about a fire code. We MAY have bought that if the place haven’t been half empty. So perhaps they want to make it look like the “Hot Spot” Not sure how the business benefits from keeping people standing outside when they can be purchasing beer.
When we finally got in the place after 15 minutes in the cold for no reason. We learned they didn’t have any house beers on draft. The sign outside reads “Three Needs Brewery”. How can you call yourself a brewery with all guest taps???
A lot of false advertising and B.S around this place. If it wasn’t for all the pretty collage girls walking around, we would have walked right out. My buddies convinced me to stay awhile. We had two beers and mingled with some girls. With the Farmhouse Tap and grill about 1 block away; I can easily say I will never return.

44 Popped in for a second during a street festival, kept on going |
76 Visited here on a relatively slow sunday. Right now they are not brewing any of their own beers while they build a new brewery or get tanks and shit installed in their new location. I didn’t really get the whole story. Had a couple VT locals on tap. They were playing Phish. Shocker. But I would dig it if I lived in B’town for sure. |
72 We had a little trouble finding this place, I guess they have just recently moved so don’t go to the College st location go to the Pearl St address next door to Fu Da Chinese restaurant. This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, it looks like a house sandwiched between two bigger buildings. Its a nice open space inside with high ceilings and exposed wood adorned with breweriana. A small loft up above and a large area towards the back with 2 pool tables and a Foosball table. Small L shaped bar sits against the right had wall. Decent tap selection of maybe 12 with a focus on VT brews. The night we went they only had one house brew on tap, a Munich Lager that was decent. I’m not sure if they are done brewing or if they are behind from the move? No food served and a college bar type feel to it. Prices seemed good.
