I wished the on-line shopping list matched the store layout..

Clean well laid out, though much smaller then the TWM’s in Northern Virginia. They had the latest from the larger craft brewers, though they are light on local and regional beers.

Compared to other total wines in the are this one is quite a bit smaller. The beer is located on the right side of the store with one aisle of singles an aisle of cases and an isle of sixers. The service was friendly enough. It’s not bad if it’s your local but it’s not a destination place.

Typical Total Wine beer selection, maybe a bit light on the local and regional stuff. Did not interact with the staff, they were pretty lightly staffed on Easter.

Good but unreliable selection. They sometimes have good sales on stuff that’s about to go out of season. Staff is knowledgeable and ready to help you hunt down whatever you’re looking for. Prices can’t be beat when compared to the smaller shops around town.

Basically... this is a Total Wine. If you’ve seen one. Located in this massive commercial complex, making traffic hell, but also meaning plenty of parking, and if you have money to burn there’s plenty of ways to do it. Staff was helpful. Prices OK. Selection decent enough, and in line with other TW locations. Slightly cleaner and a bit more upscale feeling than other locations, but just a bit.

Headed down 95 and I was looking for some stuff from Blue Mountain. I thought for sure this place would have it. Unfortunately they didn’t. I also noted that the beer selection was much smaller than the one I usually go to (Sterling, VA location). Still, I found some good stuff from Legend Brewery and staff seemed nice. Vadavid has it right, there really isn’t anywhere else to go in Fredricksburg.

The only big beer store in Fredericksburg. The availability is somewhat erratic, but the variety is generally quite good. I’ve gone in several times to find a lot of empty space on the shelves. Other times they are stocked to the gills. Most of what they have is available as singles as well. There are a couple of coolers that get craft beer too. Some stock doesn’t appear to rotate much and can be old, especially singles. It pays to look around the area in front of the registers as they often stock there, rather than on the shelves. No help offered from staff, but it isn’t really needed. They publish their beer list at http://www.wineaccess.com/file/store/totalwine/beer-totalwine-fredericksburg.pdf Though there are asterisks by many varieties and a note at the bottom that says Not available in Fredericksburg or Manassas which is dissappointing at times. However, I have seen some of such marked beers in stock in Frederickburg at times. The main drawback is you have to go into the Central Park shopping complex to get there. A prime example of development gone wild with little planning. I tend to hit Kybecca (near Ukrops) first since it’s more conveniently located, and also locally owned.
