Whole Foods Market - Bowery

Used to be a damn good bottle shop. Then they gutted it and now the best Whole Foods for beer in Manhattan is probably Tribeca. This place does not deserve its current rating (but did at one time).

They used to have a separate beer area which the converted into a coffee bar. I still found a few I haven't had including a bunch of Grimm beers. This is <1 mile from my brother's house ... wouldn't go out of my way, but if in the area and staying, then I would stop by.

Visited on 2nd October 2017. Large supermarket on a busy main road in Bowery. It's a vast place. There is a growler filling station serving local beers at really good prices plus a huge array of bottled and cans from across the USA and further afield. Most beer is available in multipacks but do have some singles, especially larger bottle formats. If you're picking up some good beer then this is a decent place to start. Prices are good too.

Likely the best stop for bottles in Manhattan along with Top Hops Beer, which is strange for a Whole Foods. Not the widest selection, but they have a wall of singles that you can make a mix-and-match six-pack from. Pretty scant supply of NE brewery beers. They have a growler station to with a few taps, but no beer for consumption on the premises other than offering tastes. Worth stopping at when in central Manhattan, but don’t expect a whole lot.

Beer shop with a small bar located inside the Whole Foods Store. Good selection, good process and a nice vibe.

Great selection of beers - and easily the best of the Whole Foods in NYC.

Visited May 2015. Decent beer department, which offered a wide range of beers, including a few shelves of 12oz singles. The selection wasn’t that unusual but the prices were pretty reasonable. Service was fine. Worth a look.

Vilken fantastisk butik. Grymt brett sortiment i ny fräsch lokal. Snyggt uppställt och välfrontat. Här kan man fastna i timmar. Svårt att bära allt man vill köpa med.
