54 Traditional BA, traditional pints, traditional menu, traditional... etc. Yeah. A standard BA, does not stick out. Not very skilled staff at my visit in 2014. |
60 Visited July 20. for a few beers and a burger. Interior is the usual "bolt-on" British pub as seen on the rest of the pub chain. Nice patio outside facing the pedestrian street As far as selection goes, I only found two unrated beers on tap, the rest where either macro stuff and rather easy accessible beers. Bottle selection not to impressive either - however, a few beers from Oceanbyggeriet spotted. Without doubt the poorest selection I’ve seen in a BA. Nice service from the barman, through and a good burger. As this place is the only in Borås it had a more local pub feeling to it than other BA, I’ve been on - it’s used by the locals rather than hotel guests and tourists. |
60 Pretty much the same as the other Bishops Arms in Sweden. Quite a lot of space and a nice outdoor area. I visited in early July, and found the bottle selection quite poor. Lots of empty shelves. |
66 Bishop är bishop och det är kul för Borås att ha ett bra ställe. Mediokra kranar men stort flaskutbud. Här drack jag min första Gulden Draak och märkliga Alba från Williams. |
40 A rather open space and empty on my visit. The moast dull and narrow selection Ive ever seen in a bishops arms |
40 Without doubt the worst of all the Bishop Arms bars that I have been to. The fact that this is the best place in the town of Borås is just sad. The staff is very friendly though. |
68 Sometimes it feels like if you have been in one Bishops Arms, you have been to them all, they seem very much alike. There are some differences though. For one they have a special beer made from Ocean. The day I visited, must’ve been June 12, some of the beer coolers for draught beers had broken down, so the Ocean special (Långnäsa Svart Lager) I wanted was served room temperature. This should not be the usual case though. Fairly big place, centrally located, well worth visiting. |
46 The Bishops Arms is a quite well known brand in Sweden, and you should be able to rely on each pub to have a fair selection of interesting beer. That is the case for this establishment as well, but their problem is that they have a very strange markup strategy where they think that if a beer costs 68 SEK for them to buy it is ok to charge the customer 229 SEK (over 200% markup). If you can live with that then you might enjoy this place. Word of warning though. Do not eat anything at this place. The food is truly and utterly disgusting! |
